Does anyone have a noisy neighbour - the one that has a really, really loud voice?

I can hear most of my neighbours chatting pleasantly outside on a summer's evening, but there is one whose voice is SO LOUD it drives me to distraction.

Why can't I sit in my little attic room at the top of the house on my computer, with the window open, without hearing his pompous voice going on and bloomin' on - grrrr! :-|

I've just put in a noise pollution complaint regarding my next door but one neighbour - he used an electric sander in the back garden today from 3:00 pm to 8:20 pm -not on :-(

Same here Mersey........and very grateful I am too..... :-D

Sounds as though you need to invest in some earplugs Wend. Send the bill to your neighbour though.... ;-)

I wouldn't mind the sander for a couple of days because I sometimes use power tools for a day but wouldn't want it for longer than that.

It is lovely here for noise. The only problem is the primary school parking.

During the hot summer of 1976 we had a couple of small piggeries down the road which were a bit savoury.

Sorry Mersey - didn't mean to moan. Just feeling grumpy - he's quite a few doors away and I have no idea who he is, but his voice sure does carry - must be the north-east wind we have blowing over us this evening (and that's what they said on our local radio about wind, before anyone from the north-east complains) :-D

Always be careful about potential neighbour disputes.

They can turn very nasty

GinN

GinN Report 8 Jul 2013 22:18

Sorry, Wend, my wind can be a problem!

Our human neighbours are fine, but the sheep and cows can be noisy! :-D

Wend

Wend Report 8 Jul 2013 22:21

Ha ha Sharron :-D :-D :-D

Nolls, there is nothing better than hearing small children playing outside in their gardens - I love it. Teenagers, when parents are out, not quite so much, especially when they've had a can or ten of lager :-|

I had a bit too much Wheels on the Bus from my neighbours the other morning but the daughter loves to discuss her business loudly in the garden so I get to hear all the gossip without leaving the comfort and safety of my own home.

my neighbours are wonderful

just like the family you would pick yourself if you could :-D :-D

Wend

Wend Report 8 Jul 2013 23:16

How lovely Joy - my immediate neighbours on one side are too and we socialise regularly (not too far to stagger home either, although I did manage to fall over once after walking a few yards, but it was New Year's Eve and that dodgy pavestone, of course :-D )

Sharron, I know what you mean about the gossip, but it's so irritating when you can't quite hear what they're saying, especially when it's a domestic!
