All the stuff was left at my friends in her small bedroom with her stuff ready for the next one.

I just couldn't believe that if you told the people it was £3 they walked away instead of haggling.

They must have expected £1 and 50p for brand new items.

:-D :-D

Sounds like you had a fun day Sue and made a profit :-D....think we must have been lucky as not had anything stolen.

Reading BC's post I remembered OH's niece once sold her husband's golf clubs.....she said to him 'well you shouldn't have left them in the boot'! :-| :-( :-D

Update on my first go at a boot sale..

We got to Murton Car Boot sale at 6am and set the stall up without any dealers looking or trying to get into the boot.
It was dead nearly all morning.

The morning dragged by and I was on my feet all the time didn't even go to the loo..

We made just over £50 which I suppose isn't too bad but still got quite a lot left.
I can see another boot sale coming up but at Skirlington

People only wanted to pay either a £1 or 50p for brand new things ie shoes and bags,

Couple next door to us was selling items at £10 and over but the more she sold the more the hubby went to the cafe for bacon/burger butties and drinks.

They were more entertaing that selling, they must have had at least 6 butties and 6 drinks each.

Only got something pinched at the last moment from an old couple which was a lovely brand new set of red table napkins(material) and a chap that sneaked up and grabbed a pack of new Vacuum bags.

Wish I has seen him I would have done him serious damage to his hands.

Thanks for all your advice.

ps just for the laugh I will be alarming everything next boot sale...HA HA :-D
