I have just been told they came from Morrisons JoyLouise

My parents always scrape them and my ex husband wouldn't eat them with skins on...we always cook them with skins on, lifes too short to mess around scraping

I used to enjoy frying sliced left over cold ones in butter aswell

I have to agree that these potates don't taste like they used to. You could rub the skins off and they would be a beautiful clean potato but the ones I have had this year you have to scrape quite hard and there is a lot of 'eyes' in them. They also go green very quickly if not eaten quickly Perhaps it was all the snow they had in Jersey this year.

They used to be very tasty and small pots that the skin just rolled off.

Have seen some in the supermarkets described as such but not looking the real deal.

Remember standing at the sink for AGES just preparing em for boiling . These days i just wash pots and steam em in their skins , so much easier

Where did you get them from Jax? I'd like to try them - a greengrocer, supermarket or straight from a farm?

We have only had them twice this year...had them the other night and could tell straight away they were Jerseys (I didn't buy or cook them) but I agree they are not as nice as they used to be

I agree, I don't think it's your taste buds either.

I, too, have been disappointed with them last year and this. Perhaps it's not worth shelling out the extra money for them after all.

I don't think it's your taste buds Brenda, I haven't had any this year but last year I bought some and was very disappointed. They used to be so good.

Is it me or have these potatoes lost their flavour?
They used to be such a treat and taste like no others, but I buy some each year hoping to enjoy them as I used to.
Just had some tonight before I go out, with butter, but alas ...same as the last few years...no flavour...I bought them loose and picked out the ones I wanted, but waste of money as they're always more expensive than others.
Might be my taste buds!!!...age related!!
