The volume is 13%, Marylin. Just a cheeky little everyday number! Now, Liebfraumilch, lucky if that's more than 9%, might as well drink pop........ :-D

GRMarilyn

GRMarilyn Report 14 Dec 2012 18:57

Barbie I Love red wine, but recently it does not seem to like me very much, so now I drink Rose or white. My favourite tipple is G&T ice & lemon, "thank you very much I don't mind if I do" ;-)

PollyinBrum Report 14 Dec 2012 15:52

I can't even eat anything cooked in red wine! It's not the alcohol, it's the tannin.

There's a spray available to use on wine. They say one squirt will remove chemicals, so you won't get headaches.

So, you remove the chemicals by adding.......... more chemicals?

I'll stick to beer......... and the occasional wee nippie :-D

Allan

Allan Report 13 Dec 2012 23:25

I find that red wine gives me a terrible thirst, which can only be quenched by more red :-D

GlasgowLass Report 13 Dec 2012 23:24

I'm with Scozz on this one.
I don't drink wine at all
. Last time I drank it, the hangover lasted for 3 full days. That was almost 10yrs ago and I have never touched it since!
Bottled beer for me too!

Muffyxx

Muffyxx Report 13 Dec 2012 23:10

I have no idea why.....but white wine gives me terrible wind !!!!!!!! :-S

LadyScozz

LadyScozz Report 13 Dec 2012 23:09

tannin makes me sick (even half a glass of the wrong red wine!)

one glass of white wine is enough, if I have two I get a shocking headache!

So I drink beer ~ what do the "experts" have to say about that? :-D

Libby Report 13 Dec 2012 23:05

Mmmmm.

Not sure what this says about me..

Daughter obviously thinks I am a p*ss head.

She received a £40 off voucher for a case of 12 wines from Laithwaites. "Sauvignon and friends"

Looks like I am going to have a very MERRY Christmas ;-) <3

Muffyxx

Muffyxx Report 13 Dec 2012 22:42

oooooo I never even look at the volume!!! Maybe I should from now on though lol

Allan

Allan Report 13 Dec 2012 22:42

You can always have two bottles....= 24% :-D :-D

GinN

GinN Report 13 Dec 2012 22:36

Funny you should say that, Marylin, I always look at the percentage of wine. Feel really cheated when wine ordered in a restaurant is only a measly 12% :-|

Muffyxx

Muffyxx Report 13 Dec 2012 22:33

Chateauneuf-du-Pape is the ultimate in wine for me..but that really is just for high days and holidays !! x
