No way could mum have married him - her forname is Olive :-D

This is true ~ a double-barrel name.........

She was Miss Appel, he is Mr Pye

But I can go one better as my 5x Ggrandma was Orange and middle name Innocent

I went out with a bloke whose name was John Thomas (thomas being his middle name) and at the time had no idea of the connotations behind the name. He told me and I said why did they name you like that then, but he was just named after his grandparents.

Working on the Post Office counters you came across some odd names and a colleague of mine made a comment on a womans name Rose Balls ..... She went home told her husband who came back and wanted to smash his lights out.... Some names just should not marry.
