	SueCar - to get your emoticons bck go into "Tools" - click on "Campatability View Settings" - top left hand coirner you will see what looks like a torn sheet of paper, click on that and your emoticons will return As to the thread changing colour when you put your cursor on it - surely it's only to highlight that particular thread

	Amazing! I've tilted my screen back a bit & it makes the bright eye-dazzling white much cooler for my tired eyes. Thanks everyone :-) :-) PS I've got the Emoticons word below the Post box but no actual emoticons. Anyone got any ideas please?
