Happy birthday

Thanks all, I had a nice lazy day and just went out for a meal after my son spent the afternoon here. Just the three of us for dinner but at the end they brought out a lovely birthday cake o.h. had ordered from a place where he got his Dad's 80th bday cake done last year. My cake is chocolate, covered with lilacy pink icing and then in purple writing it says Happy Birthday Liz and there is a spray of small purple icing flowers with green stems and leaves, it's really lovely and I will try and get a photo of it as my avatar when the photos are on the computer, they are still in the camera atm The cake is 8" square, or it was, as we have each had a big piece and I had another slice a little while ago - so much for my dieting lol

We can have cake all this week and more and then I can start on the chocolates, I had four lots, also had a big bouquet of flowers delivered from o.h.'s sister and her hubby, sunflowers, lilies and purple gladioli as well as the flowers (carnations) from my friends from gr

I also received a mug saying Happy 65th Birthday, nothing like rubbing it in everytime I have a cuppa lol, a book token from Waterstones and £10 in another card, and the Adele cd 21. O.h. stocked me up with some hand cream and face cream that I like as well altho I had to 'order' that as he was getting stumped for what to get me. Both my son and o.h. have given me money as well to get something that I really want so will decide what to use that for and can go shopping soon. Had a lovely little Angel pin on a card with a nice verse which was really sweet, thanks S. My son didn't fail me, the card he got was so beautifully worded, bless him and really pretty as were the two cards o.h. got me and others I received.

Hopefully the thunderstorms will stay away on Friday altho forecast, so that we can all go out on Friday afternoon to the coast. There wasn't time yesterday and we were all tired, but o.h. works a shorter day on Friday so will have a bit more energy to drive and walk around. He had been so busy on Tuesday taking my cake to the restaurant after picking it up from bakery etc, getting a 65th birthday balloon which was at the top of the stairs when I got up lol He tired himself out.and has to be in work again in an hour so will be up shortly.

Anyway enough of my waffling, many many thanks again for all the good wishes and the lovely cards I received too, plus my gifts,
