I always wear jeans this time of year ....in the summer i'd be shaving my legs at least 3-4 times a week...in fact ..having just looked...i think i may be coming to that age where you don't have to do to it so often cos you can hardly see anything........unless I've done it in the last day or so and forgotten that I have.......ever likely lol x

Muffy :-D If you have done it in the last few days and "forgotten" that you have,,,you are definitely coming to 'that age' whether the hair's growing or not ;-)

Yuck,

That girl looks awful, maybe the legs are ok if covered up but under arms, it makes me shudder to think of all that hair sprouting under there and poking out through short sleeved clothes.

Although I have always had and still have a big mop of dark hair (oh ok the odd few dozen grey in there now), I have never been hairy. I shaved my legs once when I was 15 to see why everyone did it but never since. Fair hair on legs, arms etc. that can't be seen. I plucked my eyebrows once and it hurt so never did it again. They are so fair and thin that I have never touched them since.

I hate seeing women with hairy arm pits and when abroad hairy other bits sticking out of swimsuits.

I too want to know why bald men can grow beards :-S

wonder no more Jacky, I just had to google ;-)

"DHT, which stands for Dihydrotestosterone (5a-Dihydrotestosterone), is a male sex hormone, an androgen. 5a-reductase, an enzyme, synthesizes DHT in the adrenal glands, hair follicles, testes and prostate. Male and female adults can lose hair as a consequence of changes in the metabolism of androgen in the body - men more commonly than women. DHT plays a major role in hair loss."...but DHT is good for facial and body hair apparently .

I must admit that I don't shave my legs in winter, as I always wear trousers and no one is going to see - but I do shave my legs in summer. I also shave my arm pits too, but I don't do it every day, just when I see that the hairs are growing again.

How often do others shave their arm pits?

Prickly Holly.... a lesson you must learn

You put hair spray on hair you have. Not on hair you have just got rid of. ;-)

I'm the same RR. Less in some places, but it sprouts where you don't want it. I think live and let live, as long as it is washed every day, but prefer to trim what's seen myself.

I really don't know why all you youngsters are attacking yourselves with razors. Your underarms must be sore Stray. You should all pop along to the salon and have a all over wax and it will last for weeks and over time reduce the growth until you all get to my age when it will start growing again.

He's 60 this year, I must ask him how often he sunbathes :-D

Forgot about this.......

My niece's boyfriend does some modelling..... the advertisers don't like hairy men, so he gets waxed! Chest, legs & arms. I wonder what he'll be like when he stops the waxing - Magilla the Gorilla? :-0

I like hairy chests!......... but NOT hairy backs
