I agree with Julia, Mummo -- I'm sure she didn't mean it in a nasty way at all. As for me, I sympathise with you entirely - wouldn't want to do it myself. Good luck, hope the weather is better for you tomorrow :-)

Just edited as it didn't read correctly.

You know Wend. Those side-less tents that posh people have.

I bet you've got one :-D

I'm sorry Mummo, that you think it is in bad taste. I can honestly say, it was not meant to be rude. I was just trying to jazz up the boards on a day when everybody is suffering with the wind.
I am only too well aware that people do not like adverse weather conditions, my-self included.

Come on everybody. Can we please all hold hands tonight and have a group "Pray-In" for Mummo, that the dear lord can change the weather tomorrow, because she does not like to drive in the wind.LOLOL She has to drive from Chester to Portsmouth.
Also my sister, that has to drive from Portsmouth to Humberside. Mind you, the way her husband drives, she won't know the difference.
So, just to get us in the mood, lets have three Hallelujahs.
Hallelujah, Hallelujah. Hallelujah

Praise Be

Now Julia - I believe you said you were going to put up an avatar in the new year. Well, I think the time has come! How about a photo of your miniature rose? We'll all talk you through what to do, if you need help :-D

Joan, according to the weather reports, Scotland are getting it far worse than we are. Hope it calms down soon for you all up there.

Poor Mr. Robin, Mersey :-(

Sun here is so bright now - I've had to pull my blind down to be able to see what I'm typing.

Hope it baits for you soon Dolly. but just think, worse things happen at see. In fact you could be at sea.
At least we havn't got T&L with it. I hate that with a passions. See, I can't say the full words. Sends me abit demented, and then sends me to the bottle.

PS. Wend I have a minature rose in a tub outside, and it is full of little pink flowers. In fact, I'd say, it has more flowers on now than it did in the summer.

Poor you Dolly. The wind here has calmed down a bit now, it's stopped raining and the sky is a bit brighter. Nothing seems to have blown over or come down in my garden. I can't believe I spent an hour or so out there yesterday - it was so pleasant and sunny and I was very tempted to do a bit of tidying up, but had heard the forecast, so knew there was no point. I also took this photo of blossom on a branch of my winter-flowering cherry tree. All my hydrangeas are still in flower - never seen that in January!

Dolly Report 3 Jan 2012 12:58

Like Wend says, its blowing a gale here in Sussex, my shed is over, only a small one with hens bits and pieces in, the back garden is flooded, next doors panelled fence is hanging over and the top trellis has blown right off. It hasn't stopped raining since last night. I am so fed up with it.

It has finally stopped raining here...........this song just came to mind....

Hello muddah, hello faddah,
Here I am at Camp Granada.
Camp is very entertaining,
And they say we'll have some fun if it stops raining!

I went hiking with Joe Spivey,
He developed poison ivy.
You remember Lennard Skinard,
He got ptomain poisoning last night after dinner!

All the counselors hate the waiters,
And the lake has alligators!
And the head coach wants no sissies,
So he reads to us from something called 'Ulysses'.

No, I don't want this should scare ya,
But my bunkmate has malaria!
You remember Jeffrey Hardy,
They're about to organize a searching party!

Take me home, oh muddah, faddah.
Take me home, I hate Granada.
Don't leave me out in the forest,
Where I might get eaten by a bear!

Take me home, I promise I will not make noise,
Or mess the house with all my toys.
Oh please don't make me stay;
I've been here one whole day!

Dearest faddah, darling muddah,
How's my precious little bruddah?
Let me come home if you miss me;
I would even let Aunt Bertha hug and kiss me!

Wait a minute; it stopped hailing.
Guys are swimming, guys are sailing.
Playing baseball, gee that's better.
Muddah, faddah, kindly disregard this letter! :-D

Hubby happy as greenhouse still standing but Naths friends fence is down so his chickens will be in the allotment if they arent careful and round the corner came round earlier wanting to borrow wheelbarrow as their fence was down.

Poor rabbits have one side each of their hutches that are soaked where rain as gone though the frill at front had to dry out the food bowl that was that side as got a bit wet.
