There must certainly be a large enough demand for the tubs of ready made custard, gravy, etc.or the stores would not be marketing it - I would buy the packets as it is much less weight to carry. |

Hi Bridget, Taught at my mother's knee. She also hated lumpy custard and used to smile knowingly at me if ever we went out to eat and custard was lumpy. Funny what simple things bring back the memories. |

Carol, have you though of getting a Mouli grinder, if you could use it with your Arthritis. Mine is invaluable. I also have a potatoe ricer to save all that mashing. |

Kay???? - Celariac has the same difficulties to peel. What I do with both these veggies is to slice across the bottom to get a flat level. Then carve around the veg. DOWNWARDS all around, onto the chopping board. |

They also sell " ready made Mashed Potatoes" the mind boggles. :-S whilst waiting for call from hospital have just made some very nice Apple Crumbles and a couple of pies.(Last of the apples of my trees.) :-D :-D :-D :-) |
