While looking through the census records yesterday,I found a Coward Blackwell. The original record does look like this is correct, but surely nobody would caal a brand new baby Coward.

I have a Mahalah Webster, I have since discovered that Mahalah was quite a common name once.
On the subject of Jones, my OH's cousin is doing his family tree and, in Ireland, his surname is Kelly and it was his mother's maiden name too. To confuse future generations his daughter, now married, has called her daughter Kelly.....!!!

The strangest name in my tree is Valdeis Pipe?

I recently came across a Fanny Freke, not in my tree thank goodness.

Ann I loved your thread, many a time my daughter and I would have a good laugh reading it. I did wonder what had happened to it. Honestly, some people have no sense of humour ;-)
