Its possible that a lot of it is caused by "Jobsworths" trying to justify their employment and strictly enforcing unwanted and unnecessary EU.Directives, unlike other Countries who just utilise what suits them.**M**. |

I feel sorry for the muslim children being withdrawn from the carol service. Music of any kind seems to be thin on the ground in their culture. Parents who haven't integrated do not do their children any favours.I have worked with muslims who have embraced our way of life, including bringing food to the Christmas party!. We have shared conversations about when they are fasting, without feeling that we are treading on anyones toes because of their culture. I wonder if different parts of the country integrate better/worse?-jl |

George of W - have you thought of asking the council when the Main Road signs are going to be replaced by Merry Christmas, especially if the other signs are on Council or Utility owned poles etc. ? |

Ask any young child about this and they wouldn't know what you were talking about. When my children were young, they had friends with different skin colour, different religion, handicapped, etc., but they didn't notice - to them ALL their friends were the same and they liked them, purely and simply, because they enjoyed their company and got on with them. |

I think the biggest cause of non integration in the city where i live is our Labour controlled council. |

Segregation/Separatism/ appartheid all means the same,Look what happened in S/Africa, it did,nt work there, and we don,t want it here, the sooner its stopped the better, after all we are all humans no matter what colour or creed,so why don,t the cretins who try to make it different just shut up and let things evolve.**M**. |

It's not only the children who enjoy christmas Dizzy, when we lived next door to muslims she loved to join in with us, she used to buy us presents and we bought her children presents. as soon as we got our tree up she had to come round to see it and have a cuppa. It was the same with their celebrations, she brought us some of their food round, the curries were to die for. When she came home from hospital with her first baby the old grandad came for me to see it as soon as they got home, I thought that was lovely. I hope todays children stay friendly when they grow up. |

I personally think there is to much PC which causes more unrest than there actually is, and normally its by those supposedly outraged and not being to wish someone a merry christmas or wave their english flag, its does make me giggle, now at this time of year those of us who have FB accounts will see friends status unindated with comments, todays is going on about "Happy holidays" now as I understand it this is an american traditonal phase I will stand corrected if it isnt so. |
