Join your local family history group if money is tight Ours charge £12 a year 1 2 good lectures a year plus free acess to ancestry and find my past on the societys computers .Plus cds fiche etc how they break even i dont know .

If you have a library card go to your local library site and look for the Genealogy Databases. In there should be 19th century british newspapers, there is a lot of info in them that you won't find anywhere else.
