I never knew the proper names for my two dogs.

The RSPCA were using the letter M the week they took in my two and they called them Muffin and Milly. Because they only had the names for a couple of weeks I decided to change them.

Got a lot of lovely suggestions for names on the thread

Thank you all so much, I was having trouble getting back on to the site last night. :-) :-)

She doesn't have a name that she recognises Ann, otherwise that would certainly have been a good idea not to confuse her. She came in from Ireland with no history which is a shame. I am wondering what I am going to get, expecting not toilet trained ? That doesn't worry me as I have a utility room with a hard floor. We are just finishing sorting the fencing which is a problem in a large garden, initially they are just wanting a play area of 12' which is achievable in a short space of time. We have also done more extensive work to the front.

Am going to visit at 12.00pm., am terribly excited and have risen early to get my jobs done!

Thank you, Merlin for your sense of humour :-D :-D ;-)

Thanking you all for taking the time to write with suggestions.

Grannie of 12, surprisingly we already have a Betty and my daughter calls her Boo Boo as a pet name! :-D :-D :-D

Bob, I have to disagree, our border collie was a fantastic fetcher and retriever of sticks and balls etc@@@ She was called Tess. My favourite all time dog's name. We also had a Cleo at the time.

We have 4 bitches now. In order of age and seniority they are:
Tia (black like Tia Maria)
Mabel (she looks like my great aunt Mabel, lol)
Bella (named by her former owner)
Poppy (because we kept calling her puppy)

Across the road they are called Molly and Indie. Up the road they are called Twiglet and Bronte.

The Blue Merle are very beautiful, Bobtanian, thanks for sharing that. I hadn't seen one before as far as I remember.

Thank you all. I have been back, my husbands thinks her acceptable! My daughter and I have spent such an enjoyable afternoon choosing bedding and all the necessary bits and bobs. Have yet to find out when I can bring her home but will be around Thursday next. Tomorrow I go to the Adoption Class. She almost seem to remember me (or was it the little treats hidden in my pocket). She didn't seem to know what to do with a ball but quickly learned.

There was some debate about fencing which is a controversial area on a farm!

How lovely !!! Getting a new dog is always so exciting....it's amazing how quickly they become part of the family.

Whatever you call her I wish you lots of joy with her.

Please keep us updated x

(My collie Fleur will chase and fetch a ball all day long if she can !! In between trying to herd the chickens up of course lol) x
