Stan Clarke....sad news

Just had an e mail from Tony Babbington´s wife to say that Stan had a fall down the stairs & broke his neck & died.
Don´t have any other details at the moment.
Stan was fairly elderly & had only recently started researching (Clarke/Hughes/Sewell Birmingham)
He was desperate to find out who his paternal granparents were, but despite everyone´s best efforts, don´t think he ever succeeded, although I was able to pass a photo of his mother as a small child with her parents & siblings, so at least he had that.

Sorry I should have made that clear.
He was a second cousin, although I was unaware of his existence until about 12 months ago. His Mum was my gran´s niece.

I don't know Stan, but it is always terrible to hear such sad news.

I am so sorry to read this sad news, what a dreadful shock for Stan's family and an awful way to end a long life.

My deepest sympathy to Stan's family and friends.

May he rest in peace, reunited now I hope with those people he sought and the others gone before.

I am shocked to hear of the passing of Stan.

He added several replies to posts I did and was fast becoming one of the regular faces on here.

When one of our GR "family group" passes away it is always sad and you feel the loss.

I pass on my deepest sympathies to his wife and family at this terrible time.
