Glad to hear you are home again and still hanging on to your toe, Jean.

Hope you can catch up with some sleep and feel better afterwards, take care and hope the news is better when the relevant doc has a look.

Meantime, as 'they' say, keep taking the tablets!

Hi Jean~~

I bet it's lovely to be home and rest up... I could never sleep when I was in that hosp.
I hope the antibiotics work for you and you can avoid having surgery.

I sent a card to the hosp but because you changed wards and are now home you may not have rec'd it ( the hosp may forward it to you..! ) I put your full name and in brackets 'from Monmouth'.. not because you put that as your GR board name , but I always put from where the person lives if I send a card to a hosp.

It will be a shame you can't make the Aber meet , but your health must be your priority so take very good care.
luv

Evening all. What a surprise to find so many messages on Judes thread for me. I have been let promise of good behaviour, to report back if any cnanges in my toe. Surgeon I saw this morning still doesnt think it is viable but is giving me a bit longer on antibiotics just in case. He also explained that the scan done yesterday showed a great deal of damage in the leg circulation, and as he wasnt a vascular man he could not go ahead with an angioplasty. The necessary man will be back off leave at the end of the month, all test results ready for him. They will then discuss whether the angioplasty will save the leg or if amputation may be an option. This on what to all intents and purposes looks healthy. ! Not a happy thought but we will cross that bridge when it comes to it
Am somewhat tired now, hope to join you all on the boards as soon as I feel more settled, Jean :-(

Seems ridiculous that the scan hasn't been done yet, maybe Jean would have been happier waiting at home but I suppose if she is at the hospital they can do it as soon as there is a free slot.

Hope the news will be better than expected because the anitbiotics are doing the job.

I hope the hospital get all scans and tests sorted soon, so that any necessary treatment can be organised.
So frustrating for Jean to have all this delay.

Hi Jude ~~~

Thanks for the update on our Jean;

Couldn't get thro to the ward you said she was on, went back to to admissions and they gave the ward she was transferred to.
But they were busy too.

You may want to check before you visit, as to which ward she is on now.
It's frightening going into a ward and finding they are not there , for whatever reason.

Morning all:o)

Spoke to Jeans OH just now and he says nothing new happening. They do hope though the scan is done soon, no idea why its not. The reason to get into hospital was to have a scan and find out what was going on...!!!

l hope to see her Thursday evening:o)

Hi Jude~~

Glad Jean still has her keen spirit.
It is boring in hosp if feel well enough to be home , but have to wait for tests etc.
The antibiotics seem to be having some good effect if she's able to walk to the lifts with you,
Those hosp lifts can be confusing :-)
You tend to stand at the back of the lift if you are first on and then a few more peeps get in, the all of a sudden the door( what you think of as the wall) behind you opens when you stop on another floor !

Thanks for keeping us updated.

luv and ((((hugs)))) for Jean

Jude, you need a sat nav in that hospital lol Glad you had a little time with Jean and hope things will be ok for her, why is the scan taking so long to be done?

Next time you visit, take a ball of string and tie one end to the door you came in by and then unravel it as you go, you can follow it back and re roll it as you get out lol

Take care, hugs for Jean
