How disappointing for you with your Stowmarket visit. You should contact the people who lobby for disabled facilities and tell them of your concerns and they would probably check it out. Shouldn't be advertised as for disabled people, if it isn't so and is unsafe.

Hope the Hilton will live up to expectations.

Just returned from a supposedly four day break in Suffolk. We stayed at the travelodge in Stowmarket and were given the disabled room. What a shock whoever designed it obviously doesn't know a thing about being disabled. The loo was far too high, felt about 30 inches and the bath was very small and slippery. If I had been in my wheelchair I would not have been able to use the loo at all so how they expect a disabled child to use it I don't know. We left a day early in the end as there is also a new truck repair warehouse right in front of lodge.
On a lighter note I was looking for somewhere to stay for two nights when my son marries. couldn't believe I booked the Hilton for less than travelodge.

Still, at £40 pn for 2 nights, its a price we are happy with!

Carol
I agree.
We have stayed at some excellent B & Bs and still have plants here after we admired the householder's garden at a B & B in Herefordshire and they insisted we share in some of their products.

I had to travel from near Middlesbough down to Truro in Cornwall when my granson was born at 1lb 10oz it was a last minute rush as he was prem and I found a lovely b&b near the hospital she packed me sandwiches for the train home and didn't charge me there was also another lady there she was on her hols and hubby had a heart attack and needed somewhere to stay on I must say the personal service we both experenced was invaluble I can't remember how much it was but I know it was under £35.a night with an excellent breky

Sometimes the personal touch is needed and cost dosn't come into it

CC that's where o.h.'s son and d.i.l. live, and must have been where he spent his last night before he got married last August, with his brother and Mum and her partner.
We stayed at the place where the reception was being held, they did special rates for the wedding guests if required.

Have a good time

We have only ever stayed single nights in any of these establishments but always try to find a Holiday nn if possible because the breakfasts are usually good.

We once stayed in one place, I think it was near Middlesborough, and they didn't do toast in the morning. You could have a muffin but I find the idea of eating cake when I get up quite unnatural.

Anywhere we stay B&B, we always fill up on breakfast in the hope we will not need to spend as much on dinner.Poor delusioned fools!

My husband books the travelodge as he is registered with them, he says he put in the dates as usual and then got a pop up asking if he wanted to book for multiple nights. When he said yes, he was sent to a different page where these prices came up. He says it's the first time he's seen it so wether its new or not we don't know.We will be staying at the Stowmarket Travelodge which is ideal for Suffolk and Norfolk.
New offers start 6a.m 14th July for rooms from £10 between 30 Sept and December.

Me and OH are off to suffolk on 18th We are booked into travel lodge for four nights at a total of £105. Do you know there is a separate link for multiple nights. Also the only time I've found Premier Inn for £29 was 1 person staying in a single room in the middle of nowhere.

Dizzy, my daughter is doing very well thanks. She had major surgery and although she is 23 we have to travel from yorkshire to Oxford for her surgery as she has a syndrome and learning difficulties. It works out very expensive but it has helped her very much;

Just check online the area where you want to stay. There's loads of £25/£29 rooms in Lancashire for the last week in July.

I've never managed to find one, even searching the less popular places. I just wish they'd publish a list of where the offers are £29.
