Anything by the Carpenters

Reading this thread I can say I like many of the songs or artistes mentioned and seen quite a few, but long after they had their hits.

Gerry and the pacemakers twice, Frankie Valli and the 4 seasons 3 times, Bobby Vee, Dr Hook, searchers,Hermans Hermits too name but a few.
The one concert I remember going to see at the hight of their fame was The Walker brothers with the support group of The Small Faces but I was only 8 and all I can really remember was a load of hysterical girls screaming.
I must say my fave solo singer was Billy Fury and made a point of having my photo taken next to his statue in the Albert Dock.

I am also a 60`s music lover. I know each generation thinks that their music was/is the best but I really think we had great songs, singers and groups and some are still going strong.
