he is Rock Chidley, who made consertina's, if you put hisname into google he is many sites.
4. funny surnames, well i found the name Bugg the other day.

How far. 1570 on ohs, mid 1600s on my maternal and paternal lines. They were an idle lot and didn't move about until the mid 1800s. OHs only moved down from Scotland in the 1500s and stayed in the area we are in today. Think they fled from Scotland (on the wrong side perhaps) Motto is hold the White Banner High, in other words wave your hankie and run.
Baglin before 1066 is the name I want to track.
Jane Pigeon rather odd but we have had three Pigeons in our school over the last 5 years and our Pigoens came from Warwickshire not Yorkshire.

And lest I forget, one of the Cornwall crews also contains the ancestors of 007, it seems. "The World is not Enough!", our mutual family motto. ;)

unusual names .............. Vicesima

It means 21 in Latin, is used in the Bible

and was given to the last child of 20, all of whom survived to adulthood


Interestingly, a family story says that family actually had 21 children .............. #20 died, and they had another child to bring it back to 20 ............... this was Vicesima.


The other strange thing is that she had 3 forenames, while all the others only had 1. And all the others either had very common names or family names.

So is "Vicesima" the tip-off that there were indeed 21 births?


I can find no record of a chiild born and dying, there are no records of a still birth of course, and there is only about 18 months between #19 and #20 ............ which is about the average spacing between all the others.
