Beautiful photos Fiona. It looks a lovely place to visit.

Foot is getting better, still dragging it like ~Quasi Modo ~ but it's not so painful. Very frustrating sitting around doing very little.

Morning David and everyone.I thought it could have been your bus pass or passport photo.
Well it's another cloudy and warm morning.I wonder if we will get blue sky, like we did later yesterday.
No roast today.Chicken and Bacon lattice pie,not my own.Lots of veg and maybe a little mash potato if anyone wan'ts .Plus plenty of gravy.
Hope Maureen's foot is a bit easier this morning.

Morning all,
Lots of cloud about this morning , but still warm.

Jane , lovely picture of your two ,they are both like you ,mind you haven't seen your hubby so they might be like him !!

Just having a lazy day today ,might have a ride out later to Wroxham ,if i can talk hubby into going ,he's had a busy week and he doesn't always feel like going out .

MillymollyAmanda

MillymollyAmanda Report 1 Aug 2010 13:14

Quiet today ?

Won't be going to Wroxham , i forgot the racing is on the television hubby likes that .

I was looking in a kitchenware book this morning ,and there were Paper Doylies in there ,do people still use them ?
I remember Mum using them at Christmas time ,out came the Doylies on the plate and the Sausage rolls and Mince Pies were arranged on them .

Jane

Jane Report 1 Aug 2010 13:24

Mandy,I think I have paper doylies knocking around in a drawer. They are probably all yellow now lol.Yes we always had doylies. They reminded me of the paper patterns that we used to make.Where you folded up a piece of paper several times and snipped bits out of it.Then when it was opened there would be a pretty pattern.I think I might have used pinking scissors.

When er think on we put coasters under our plates at the table, but in recent times we have taken to eating off a tray in front of the TV.

Not good for the posture.

Jane

Jane Report 1 Aug 2010 15:46

Those lap trays are good for eating off.The ones with the saggy baggy bottoms( if you know what I mean) lol

Afternoon All,

David I have not been able to 'grow' your picture in word. lol The cap suits you!

I still use doylies sometimes at christmas......hides the pattern on a plate when it doesn't match. lol

Loved your pics of the loch Fiona.......some pricey looking launches there and a gorgeous blue sky. I am beginning to crave a few days somewhere a bit wild. lol

Hannah looks gorgeous in that red dress Jane and I thought James looked a lot like Chris when I saw him. He has a really nice smile too.

What is the matter with No 1 son Shirl? I hope he's ok.

We hardly use our dining table anymore......can't quite see the tv around the corner from it.

Mandy.......loo all done now?

We went for a walk along a bridleway a few miles away this morning. We'd never been down it before, but I was looking on google earth and spotted a quarry alongside it between the famous Stoney Stanton one, used for diving and and another a mile or so away I had seen. It was a nice walk with loads of nearly ripe blackberries each side.....going back in a week or two with a bowl!! The quarry itself was fenced off and surrounded by mature trees so you couldn't see water, but a bit of the fence was down where people obviously walk through so we went in to have a look without going anywhere near the edge. It was incredibly deep and I know when I googled it people do rock climbing there. A lovely haven for wildlife and a Heron flew across. To think I have lived within 5 miles since age 16 and didn't know it was there!!

Hi all,
Not been around much. Was up at 3.30 this morning, this cough won't go away. Sat in armchair till 6. went back to bed and dozed on and off till 9. Feel ready for a kip now.

Annx

Annx Report 1 Aug 2010 17:58

I can sympathise Frank. We are having poor sleep one night then good sleep the next when we are exhausted. All the coughing wears you out. Should you perhaps get some antibiotics from the doc?

Watching Last of the Summer Wine tonight.......pity it will be the last series.

David

David Report 1 Aug 2010 18:04

If you do a screen print you can attach it to a Word Doc then zoom it as large as you wish and then send it it where ever.

Look like Fred Dibnah lol

Annx

Annx Report 1 Aug 2010 18:46
