Where has that year gone Mandy??Babies are suddenly not babies anymore
My Sisters G Son Finn will be 5 on the 18th,and Amelia is 7 months old now.

The sun is so bright we have had to pull the curtains downstairs.
When Chris was down the lane with Chester earlier,he said the Horses had to turn back to the stables as the slope was too icy for them.

I went to the New As** just now and have bought a lovely Jacket for Hannah .A real bargain ,I think. That will be a Xmas Pressie.
Talking of Xmas does anybody know where I can get a Garland type of thing with LED lights that run off a battery (not plug).I want one to somewhere where is no socket.

Mel I seem to have the figure £75.000 from last year as the prize in the Jungle.I don't know why I think that.It will probably be totally wrong.
Fiona I noticed a lot more cars at the church today .Last week there very few.
I will be popping cards in the post tomorrow.I still need to do a couple of letters to put in to some rellies cards in BC Canada.

Dinner has gone down now and I think I am ready for my pudding .Chris has had to go for a lie down lol

Jane ,i have some of those little sets of light like Mel said ,i just weave mine in the garland, its just that you have to remember to turn them off ,as one set i have on my front door wreath , i have one blue set and a red set , got mine from Wilkin*on's

I've been wrapping presents all afternoon 14 in total , i got some gift tags that had glitter on them ,blooming things ,i got fed up ,got covered in glitter !!! the rest are now in the bin !!

I don't know if they get any money for winning the jungle thingy , they all get paid for doing it don't they ,and i think the phone calls make a bit for charity .
Pork is cooked just waiting for the roasties to get really brown ,then i'll dish up .

Bother forgot the time again !!!! 4.58pm

Hi I do not know whats happened in our household our movie channels gone from sky after the bad weather and had to send them a e mail because they say on the computor they can not be contacted due to the weather. The post is up the creek so my cards will be there next week not early which I first said.

The hoover had a loose connection so had to get that fixed the tumble dryers drum went so had to buy another tumble dryer today the washing would be wet thank goodness today for Sunday shops and last week the microwave oven went pop and burnt so we all put together and bought a new one of those also.
So glad Stacey won I said all along that she was my favourite to win I think she was so calm and funny. Good old Stacey. Will miss the jungle programme.

My son in law got to go and see if he can stay in the country Friday and they have put the fee up another 200 pound on top of the twelve he saved
thank goodness he is now working full time or they could have sent him back to Tunisia well they still can if they get nasty .need prayers.

April phoned saying Nanny the snows still here will it go for Thursday I said Yes but who knows. Maddie in the house next door to us bought a new dress for Thurday to see Cinderella .Aprils having to wear a dress she had last year so I hope that does not upset her. Jessie said I cannot buy her another . Grandad offered but Jess said no shes getting spoilt since Matt died. I need boys clothes only got girls. Have a nice evening
have to muffle myself up for the shop stint. I had carol singers in last night
that could not sing. One customer said do you call that singing our cat could do better it was funny they screamed at us holy night silent night
and that was it. I said come back when you know the rest of the carol they were teenagers and very rude. I thought carol singing had died out does anyone else get carol singers.

It is now freezing outside.Chester popped out for a wee and it sounded like he was walking on rice Crispies. It was all snap crackle and pop on the frozen snow on the lawn.

Sheila, my son had problems with hie S*y the other night ,he rang up and they said they would send out an engineer £69 !! he told them no thanks ,he said he would cancel it ,but in the morning it was fine ,so i think it was the weather .
Your not having much luck with your electrical things !! makes you wonder what will go wrong next !!

Thats what Grandads are for ,for spoiling the Grandaughters ,maybe she needs spoiling a little bit , she has lost her daddy .
We never have any Carol singers round here.

I'll keep everything crossed for your SIL Sheila. When will he know if he can stay?
I had one year when the washing machine ,tumble drier and freezer all went within a few weeks.Blooming expensive couple of months that was.

No we don't get carol singers down our Rd.When I was young and in the choir at church we used to go Carol Singing all around the village. We would end up at the Big House where we were given mince pies and a hot punch. After that it was a long trudge back home with the jam jar on a string and a candle inside.
I remember one year on the way home seeing some shooting stars.

No we don't carol singers anymore either.
OH & I and daughter no 2 & boyfriend go to the Midnight service at my church, The coffee centre opens at 10.30 for tea, coffee & Mince Pies.

then its into church at 11.30 for carol singing then when the Bell rings for midnight we all turn round and shake everybody hands, wishing them Merry Christmas. then we have the christmas story , either acted out by our Bible Class or told by the minister his way and prayers etc, we are usually home about 12.45

SIL & Sofia came for dinner, surprisingly when you don't see Sofia for 6 days , how she's grown and now says YES to everything and claps her hands , Good job it's not NO lol.

Evening All,

Jane, I just googled 'pre-lit battery garlands' and there are quite a few different kinds...... I noticed that B*Q and Nex* have them. I have the little lights on their own that I have attatched to a white twig. lol B*Q have those too. Whatever you do, don't forget the batteries for them!!

Well I must get cracking this week. I want to give everywhere a good clean up before the tree and decs go up. I bet your place looks lovely Frank, you are ahead of me this year. lol I have been waiting for the electrician to contact me again about the bathroom fan........doesn't look like I'll be decorating in there before xmas now.

I just ordered a new tablecloth for the dining table at it's small size. I wanted another burgundy one as the old one is looking a bit snagged and tatty now. I also want to get a skirt for the xmas tree, but silly me forgot to measure what size I want before we took the tree down last year!! It is a narrower tree than we had before so it sits closer to the wall and I don't want a massive skirt or it will be a mile away from the wall again. lol I suppose you can overlap them a bit to make them smaller.

I called in a garden centre yesterday and they had a brass band playing carols which was nice. They also had 3 owls (real) which seemed unfazed by the brass band. There was also an exhibition by the local artist Kerry Newell. She is self taught and does the most fantastic wildlife pictures. They look like actual photographs.

Hope your arm soon feels better Mel.......did you manage to finish that wreath before it started hurting again?

I am off to bed now to watch tv. OH is at the hospital again tomorrow to have that tooth root pulled!! Sooner him than me. He was hoping to go straight on to a match, but I don't think there's much hope of that..... supposed to be -6 according to the weathermen.

I can't believe Katie will be 1 !! Send us some pics Mandy..........Night night everyone.
