Happy Birthday Maureen, I hope it's a good one. Was trying to open Frank's upload this morning and managed to jam the computer!!! I even lost the arrow!!! I was so p...d off that I went off and did some hoovering!!! Came back and computer had righted itself and was making a whirring noise, panic, what had I done?!! I managed to turn it off, and whew, its back again and seems OK!!! OH sighed and said "finger trouble"! I nearly bopped him one!!! Off to watch Remembrance Parade, hope it doesn't rain.

Liz my laptop often does that whirring noise and a little coloured circle just whizzes round and round.I have to turn it off and restart again.So annoying.

I have been doing a bit of dusting and polishing and sweeping up lots of dead Chuggie pigs.Why do they always seem to die and collect under my settees and chairs????.While I was doing that I had the TV on and found Andre Rieu at The Albert Hall.I had never heard of him until Ann said she went to see him a little while ago.It was fantastic!,and what a gorgeous chap lol

My thumbs are so painful today.I think I may have some Arthritis in them.Chris says I'm just getting old.So no sympathy there then .Huh !

What a grey day it is.Darkish and a bit dismal.No roast today.I think it will be steak later(much later).

Yes Jane, I do, if you pm me your e-mail address, I'll fire one up to you! Getting old?! tell me about it! I forget how old I am until I remember things from way back, and then realise how long I've been around!!!!! Now been accused by neighbours of moving our fence 'nearer(?) to their property!!) I just don't know what they're talking about, I begin to think that they're crackers!! problem is, that they want to put up a panel fence in place of our post and rail. (They don't like the look of Merlin's yard!!!) well, as they can't see it from their house or garden, it backs onto their field, I fail to see what they're about. Another problem is that we have the remains of an old hedge, on the edge of a ditch. Our surveyor has told us that we go to the bottom of the edge of the ditch on our side, as do ALL the other properties abutting her field. (They all have proper hedges) Having said that , we could well go to the other side of the ditch, as someone else has pointed out. We have suggested that they have a survey done (they don't seem to want to?!!) and, if there is a problem, the surveyors can get together to sort it out. Reasonable I would have thought, particularly as we are the accused!!! Maybe they'll accept that, but something tells me they won't!! Sorry about the rigmarole, anybody out there got any good ideas?!!!

I have to say I think those neighbours of yours sound BONKERS.I don't understand why thy are being so difficult.Sorry but I can't think of any ideas.

Just passed over one draw nearly cleaned out but I can't put things away as OH is in the bedroom, supposed to be watching the grand prix but I think he may be asleep!! He was up at his usual time of about 4am so I am leaving him to sleep and getting on with the next draw which has all my draws in!!!!!!! Have flung lots away as the elastic has gone!! More room in that one now.

Film star Merlin eh? All requests will be dealt with in order!!! I bought two new thermal vests owing to my great age and chilliness, and guess what, they cost me £4 each, and they hardly come down to top of my pants! never mind tuck in!! last time I bought the same make about two years ago they were really nice and long, and cheaper! not flipping bum freezers like these! and,before you ask, they were size????? well big enough, put it that way!!!!! Now for photos!

What about getting bigger pants and pulling them up to meet the Vests !!! lol

Thank you all so much for your lovely birthday wishes. Had a lovely time last night. I like tappas where you can have a bit of everything, never end up eating what I ordered but always eat everyone elses order. Great having birthdays, not so good being another year older though. When I was having my back and neck massage yesterday I was thinking ...... good job I didn't put my grannie knickers on ........

Just chilling out today, looking on e.b** for more Singstars, we will have a nice little collection by Christmas, ear plugs out again Jane ....lol

Liz your neighbours are a right PAIN !! When we moved here the fence at the bottom of the garden had to be moved! The builder had ripped out the field hedge and put the fence the other side of the ditch. We were making great plans to span the ditch with railway sleepers and make a patio over some of it.......next thing our solicitors said the builder would have to move the fence to the other side so the ditch was in the field. It was right though as the ditch had been the other side of the original hedge in the field at the back. I do hope it gets resolved soon for you. I thought our school bloomers were bad enough being bottle green Liz......but chocolate brown!!!! lol

Merlin is gorgeous isn't he. My friend whose little foal was born dead in September has gone out and bought another young foal. She's having some problems though, as the other 3 ponies have decided to gang up on it!! Poor little mite......I must go and see it soon.

Glad you like Andre Jane.........I must say I am quite smitten. Not often I see a man my age so smart and attractive and talented!!! lol, lol Mind you I have always liked those tailcoats. lol

All this talk about draws,nickers, vests etc. WHAT A TURN OFF>!!!!

We arrived home about an hour ago. Had to do the diversionthrough Isham, Harrowden, out to the A43 at the RED HOUSE. not too bad I don't think everybody knew that way through.

We had a loverly lunch out at the "Hornblower" in Oakham. Then the girls wanted to go Garden Centre. Conrad and I sat in the car and listened to the GP. They were gone for ever, well it seemed like it. Went back to theirs for a cup of tea and mince pies. Then left about 3.30.
I'll be back later because XF is on.
