Oh what a cold day.!! Ros had to go the Physio this morning, they put her on Aqu puncture for about a hour. She said that should feel better. When Ros put her feet to the ground she almost fell over with the pain. The physio said "Well that didn't seem to work" Got to go again 3rd Nov. She might get refered for MRI. to see what the trouble is.

I feel so tired today,all I seem to do is yawn .I know I was late going to bed but this is silly lol.I really need to get cracking and mop the bathroom floor.
The sun is still shining bright ,but I can feel that temperature dropping now.
I hope our Mel is alright.I know she was expecting her Mum to go,but it is still such a huge shock.

It's been a quiet day here today after the emotional rollercoaster yesterday, Alfie has been sleeping nearly all day, he did get up and have a mooch around, played for a bit with the wire on the iron, normally get cross with that but left him to it today, no fits, hope I haven't spoken too soon.

Thank you Frank, the books arrived this morning, can't wait to read them, must finish my current book first called The Gargoyle, it's good, well, it's different. You're really good at wrapping parcels, must get you over before Christmas to wrap all the presents ...lol Meant to say, if anyone else is interested in Frank's books, about the EastEnd, I will happily post them on.

Elizabeth, a worrying time for you with OH but it seems the success rate is very high, my cousin had it a couple of years ago had all the treatment and is fine now and he is in his late seventies.

I must have missed a few posts Sheila, is Beryl marrying Donnie after all, I shouldn't worry too much about not being at the wedding, knowing your Beryl it could all change by then.

Mel so sorry your mums passed away I have not read any detail but hope it was peaceful and that you will find strength from the love of each other.

Will be very busy for the next few days arranging things so don't be surprised if I am not around.

We had so many people calling yesterday to arrange things for further care for mum as today was the last day the girls were coming to do her washing routine and then we had to change to another service.

Anyway I have only just caught up with your posts!!

OH took me out for lunch to take my mind off things and it was very strange to not have to worry about leaving mum on her own as we have always had to do. This will be the first time in my life that I have'nt had to think about anyone else.

Maureen enjoy Franks books I have received them from my friend on cds so I can listen to the reading I did not know they did them. They are an early Xmas gift and so will have to put them away until Christmas. Read the first one a book but some of the pages kept falling out. But the way she describes the characters is great I thought my mum would have liked these cds.Just to listen to in bed

Yes Maureen Beryl is surposed to be marrying Donnie but I have arranged a ballet Cinderella like I said mainly for little April and Beryl phoned me today rambling on about if anyone offends you people who hold malice will go to hell
etc etc. turn the other cheek she said well if I worried about the people I am surposed to offend I would always be turning it. since Matt died and I suffered the terrible pain of him dying I could not care less who I offend do not mean to offend anyone and holding a grudge is stupid for children I think but who is Beryl to tell me that I was round
arranging Donnies party Sat and at least he said thank you
but not Beryl. I have not done anything for that to be said to me on the phone today

I just had some funny jokes from my friend but she is stuffing my aol up with them had a job to sort them out.
I had lunch with my son in law and ho today instead of Beryl
I think Beryl treats Donnie really bad he tries hard and she just makes a idiot out of him. The guy can be sweet sometimes and he does seem to care for her or is it her money who knows she holds on to it so if its that he will not get far.
I did smile when she said Bernie her lodger was going to be a page boy he is hardly a boy and him in a page boy outfit. He could be a Christmas Pud if shes having a Christmas theme. must go being catty. !!!

Mel just pop in when you can if you feel like it.The next few days will be a bit crazy for you with all the things you have to do.

Sheila ,I think it is strange this Donnie and Beryl thing.He is younger than my son !!!!!!! and Beryl is years older than me lol.

Steak for us 2 tonight.Hannah is staying with a friend in Northampton.She doesn't eat steak so won't be missing out.

Very sorry to hear about your mum passing away, Mel. Even when they are expected these things are still a shock to the system. It was a good idea your OH taking you out for a meal, you must have been under a strain and worry for quite a while now.

Well, we did get to the woods!! Batsford isn't all that big, but it was a nice stroll in the sunshine and the trees looked lovely and colourful. The house (private) is quite grand with with lovely views and there was a pretty church at the end of the wood. We came back along the old Fosse Way and called in for a pub lunch. Will see if any pics came out ok and send one or two later.

Gargoyles!! You have reminded me Maureen.......I am going to collect photos of any I see in future!! lol If there isn't a queue I wouldn't mind reading Frank's books. Glad Alfie seemed ok today. Might he grow out of the fits ..........I suppose you have to wait and see.

Nice to see you back Liz!! Hope your OH's MRI scan comes through quickly, so you know quickly what needs to be done.

Shirl ,how did you get on at the Dr yesterday with your son?

Liz!!!,I can't remember if I said I was sorry to hear of your OH's diagnosis.Sorry If I didn't.Hopefully whatever treatment is decided ,it will do the trick.

Just forgot to mention. Last night about 4.30pm We saw a big SKANE (If thats right) of Swans go over. Must have been 60 or move, in a massive V Don't know where they were going. But what a sight.

Have had a bad turn at dinner time, shaking all over "ELVIS" Can't stop myself, have taken more tablets, and Ros has made me sit down. Was going to the Club this evening to watch football. but won't bother now. Will get into dressing gown and watch it in the conservatory. Might pop back later, if not see you tomorrow.

Jane I agree entirely what you say about Beryl and Donnie she phoned again saying she was asking her sister to take my place.But she said you can change your mind and cancel Cinderella I said no.
I am not really interested in her anymore and after you said
i should continue on the thread because you all liked my stories about her I wont be on here much. I am coming to realise Beryl is a no no for me now. After my stay with Annie she and I got along great.

I had a strange dream last night I dreamed I was in bed with Orville the green bird lol I told my ho and he said
you are always saying you would kill me if I was in bed with a bird. and did he ruffle your feathers and did you give him a peck .
I am going to watch a film Spring and Port Wine about the daughter getting the herring for days it must have been stinking a cute film with a young Hannah Gordon. I love James Mason in it seen it lots of times though my eldest daughter is sulking because her ho works nights now 5pm until 5am and he forgot to phone her today so she is getting herself a chinese and watching this old movie with me. She said I do not care about him not much love

I just hope Mel enjoys her holiday she deserves it.

I hope the tablets have worked Frank and that the shakes have stopped now. We can't have you turning into Elvis.......some of us get the hots doing nothing as it is! lol Guess what, OH is in his dressing gown too and also watching the footie!!
