What a lovely day here the sun is out and it is so nice to feel some sun. My backs got wet so many times lately now I am like a sore little old lady can hardly move. Beryl is fine was here this morning she donned a bikini and was suning herself in the garden plaster on arm still and foot
and Donnie her boyfriend came with her when she took off her robe he said Oh goodness I have seen more fat on a chip buttie and started laughing then said watch the sparrows in case they start mating with you. I had a game getting her clothes off and helping her into that bikini and it is warm but windy and I have a vest and a jumper on. Berl sat for a while then dressed and went off in a taxi with lover boy.
What is donkey day Mel I would love to see your garden .I love being on your thread just a comple of things I asked but they got missed never mind it was not important .I always upset someone here without meaning to so assume I do on the thread. I find everyone very nice .

The sun is shining ,the breeze is blowing,my towels are drying and it is a lovely day.

My ho will have to go to the hospital according to the doctor today he is not well seems it is a kidney infection.
I was making my bed eating my sandwich at the same time put the sandwich down on the sheet just for a sec
forgot it and threw the duvet over the sandwich. Not a single bedside lamp so had to switch the light off on the wall by door jumped into bed and lay on the sandwich tossed and turned on it .I thought this bed feels a bit sticky
and realised my marmalade sandwich was rolling around with me. I am afraid it was peanut butter and marmalade
because that is all that was in my sons food place .He had made his room into a living place .I had taken plain bread and butter upstairs with me but saw the other stuff and spread it thickly on my bread.I have thrown it all out now
and plan to get new stuff and make it into a guest room .I think the contents I ate were a bit old also wonder I did not
get gut ache.I love Lilliput houses Mandy it is you who said you cross stich them I bet they are lovely.

O love Frank he is so funny. Sorry did not mean to moan
I have just done a pile of washing and a pair of Beryls skimpy knicks blew off the line and landed in the tree still there the tree is too high to reach. I did hers aslo I do not want to climb ladders after what you all told me so they will have to stay. I will ask son in law and we all know how he climbs ladders. Your not a load of old codgers or old crusties which my next door neighbours calls old people
you all seem very active .I know I would get a thick ear if I did lol see I have got the lingo now. Glad someone explained Donkey Day. Here is is Beer Day just loaded a
huge amount in the shop for the guzzlers.

Hi Sheila ~~~~~ Sorry to hear about your husband.... Hope the doctors sort him out and he feels better soon. Your friend Beryl is a scream. Your stories are so funny lol

Thanks for filling me in Jane. I thought Mel was off on a mission to rescue donkeys or something lol

Must make tracks as I'm working today. BFN.

Sheila

Sheila Report 16 Aug 2010 13:24

Catiel before I go and pile up beers I should hate to put my feet in a fish tank and get them nibbled my feet would kill the fish. How funny. When in Tunisia when my daughter got
married I saw something and poked it with my foot and suddenly this huge jelly fish arose never seen one so big
it put me off walking the beach what with the camel dung
like golf balls and the rubbish not all the beaches are like that though this was Karaiwen can never spell that name.I remember sitting one day nice and peaceful and a man came and plonked a monkey on my head and it did a wee on me and this man laughed and laughed I was not amused .I went to the local zoo and was jigging up and down by the Ostrich cage trying to make it dance which it said it did and it came right up to the cage and turned its bottom round and did a wee. Put me off animals there.

Hi All
yes Jane I'm off to the clinic about my back should have been there 2 weeks ago but had to cancel my appointment due to dad's 6 months review at the care home so the only appointment they could give me is 5.00 this evening , a bit late really but there was no cancellations. so i have to keep it. it usually takes about an hour to chat and she checks that i'm doing the exercises right and then she massages my back to see if theres any improvment , hopefully there will be as now as Sofia is walking across the room I am not having to pick her up as much that helps a great deal.
Going to e-mail you some pics of Sofia in the back garden yesterday, she really is coming on so well

Sofia looks lovely Fiona.......and so does your wishing well......very pretty.

Frank!!!! The cattle were beautiful and gentle but I never saw the Llamas.. Will send piccies. As soon as we got there we met a chap we both have worked with about 20 years ago and his wife. We went to see Sonny Curtis together at Coventry and I used to cram my little Peugeot full of bags of shavings for his daughters' guinea pigs at that time. We had a good old natter. After we had a walk, lovely cooling breeze up there, we called in for a drink and meal at a nice little country pub. OH is fast asleep now I think. I wonder if he will wake up in time for the match he's going to tonight?

I hope your back is improving Fiona. Carrying a light hoover is enough for me let alone a wriggly toddler.

Beryl doesn't let anything hold her back does she. Suns out and bikini on! lol

I can't wear any rings to work in. Lucky to have found the ring in the garden.

What a lovely day, it has turned out. Back to shorts, and bare chest. Don't get too excited !!!!
Have been picking cherry tomatoes for well over a week Jane, Sent No.1 son off to France with a bag full. No.2 son took a bag home Sat. night. We still have a big dish full, in the kitchen. The larger toms. ar'nt quite ready yet. Getting feed up with Runner beans. Think I will do peas as well next year.

Have just ordered some "viresco aqua" for clearing the pond. of green water. The fish are fine, but you can't see them unless they come to the top. Also ordered a two colour Laburnham tree. Grows to about 9ft. and is best displayed on it's own. So will take away the "wishing well" and it can go there. It was a place with an eating apple tree, but the cat used it for a scratching post, and killed it a few years ago.

Onions and Potatoes, around the left over beef from yesterday in the oven, smells great. getting hungry just smelling it. Fresh beans, peas and carrots and cabbage.

Ros is "spark" out in the conservatory, won't leave her too long, or she won't sleep tonight. Mind you she never goes to bed before 1am. Saturday night it was 2.00am.!!!!! No wonder she needs a sleep in the afternoon, also her diabetis dos'nt help. Poor old soul. No. I didn't say that !!!!

Tracey

Tracey Report 16 Aug 2010 17:15

I wonder if Beryls skimpy nicks are still in the tree? lol
Sheila ,you obviously have a way with animals !!!!!!!Maybe their weeing on you and at you is a sign of love.
I hope your OH doesn't have to go to hospital ,but it will be the best place if needs be.How far is the hospital from you?
Have just watered the veg and other bits, but I think we have more rain tomorrow.

Annx Report 16 Aug 2010 17:22

I have sent the pics. What colour is the Laburnum Frank.....yellow and......??

We have done well with tomatoes this year and OH is taking a bagful to his parents tonight. The runners are still slow though and flowers still on the floor each morning, but the carrots are ready to pull now. The landcress is sooo hooot now we can't eat it. lol

Shirl, what has OG done now? lol I have tried to send you pics again, but it may not work. I wonder why we have lost connection????

Jane Report 16 Aug 2010 17:23

Ann What beautiful creatures.Short legs, just like me lol.I don't have the horns ,but OH might disagree on that one lol.The pic of the rocks reminded me of a Tor on Dartmoor.

Frank

Frank Report 16 Aug 2010 17:34

Not all DEVILS have horns. Jane !!!!

I think its a PURPLE Flower that has been graffed on to the main tree. It's comming from Spaldin# plants. You will find it if you go on their site.

Annx

Annx Report 16 Aug 2010 17:52

Just looked............what a pretty tree. I didn't know you could get them like that.

Jane, some were scratching their horns on the trees like they itched or something. lol I wonder why they don't shed them every year like deer?

Hi
Just got back from physio was only there for 15mins, physiotheripist was very happy with me and said that my muscles were not so stiff anymore and to keep them supple I was to continue with the exercises but she couldn't help me anymore and wants me to start a back fittness class on a friday morning at the local sports centre. these exercises will continue to strenthen my back and help with posture. so I am now waiting till I get a phone call to find out when I start.

Great photo's Ann it amazing how those cattle can hold there heads up with the size of those horns.
