Thank the Lord that , that vile disgusting thread has gone. It was an utter disgrace, and an insult to all those children and the professionals who work with them. Talk about delusions of grandure. Wouldn't leave her in charge or to teach my budgie. These children don't stand a chance in the world with people like her

Hiya Hayley.... I would agree with you.... but there is a little bit of doubt in my mind... my belief is that she may well work in a school, and be an aspiring TA....... but not actually have much direct contact with the youngsters at the moment.

But if that is the case, she still needs to be taken to task for her indiscretions.... no school employee should talk like she has...... in the special school, respite unit, and residential home I worked in, ALL staff, including cook, handyperson, gardener, cleaning staff had to sign a confidentiality statement... any indiscretion COULD result in instant dismissal, or at the least suspension and tribunal!!

Also, as a professional, I was trained to pass on relevent info to the authorities if I felt that confidentiality was being breached... now, I haven't worked for a couple of years... but hey, things haven't changed... they have tightened up!

I actually think she assists in a school too, though perhaps not to the level she claims. I have serious doubts on that one, her attitude gives it away, BUT...no matter what level she works at, the confidentiality statement is the same. So any indiscretion should be taken seriously.

If a person can go on a public forum and state that the kids she works with are unteachable, unsupportable and end of the road...and THEN try to justify it by saying the qualified staff use those same terms...then should that person be trusted with other matters regarding those children?

I'm sorry, but when parents themselves are about to be vetted before ferrying kids around, then teaching assistants of any level should be at the very least taken to task for that sort of thing.

Well whatever her 'position' in that school may or may not be, her words this morning are indefensible. End of.

Lol Joy..... actually, one of my very best carers started off as a cleaner... she was the first person I was directly responsible for employing. She quickly revealed a skill which took my breath away... superb!!

Don't think that is the case here, though, lol!! ;¬))

Don't worry, Muffy - just seen your reply! To be honest, I had become convinced I might possibly be going mad - yesterday I turned the office upside down looking for a USB stick that was on the table all along because I couldn't find it!

So I put a lot of missing threads down to "I must have imagined it" . . .

Breaking school confidentiality, by discussing lessons and calling your pupils unteachable on the www whether you name them or not on a public forum is a sackable offence.

And seeing as Mel has previously mentioned her area of work, the school and her church, it wouldnt take long for anyone to realise what children are being talked about.

All it takes it for one parent to read that thread and put 2 and 2 together, to be able to end Mels career without a second thought.

I would suggest to Mel, that instead of moaning about the info she puts on the www about her own children, being viewed by others, she needs to stop posting about other vunerable children to all and sundry. Its her responsibility to protect those children, not call them names on the www.
