I think I'd have to ask the poster to come nearer the screen and kiss it........}

nasty Pm's can be deleted at the click of a mouse and aint worth feeding the senders dumb brain.by giving it screen space.

I think that if you receive a nasty PM you should tell people. You should tell everyone. You should start a thread about it!

If vulnerable people receive a PM and feel totally victimised think how awful that would be. Whereas if the said vulnerable people have read threads like this one talking about nasty PMs they will not feel singled out and picked on. So ultimately it's a good thing to share it.

So - share your PMs. If you can't/don't want to share the content, fair enough, but at least let others know that you have received one!

What's the matter Carol. Is it a case of selective reading, what the eye doesn't see, the brain does not have to think about it.

The problem is, that 'strange' pm's: calling people 'beaches', or similar; saying nothing but 'ha ha', would be very difficult to report as nothing has really be said that could be construed as offensive. Having GR block 'strange' people is probably the best method.

As they say, 'Do not feed the trolls'.

Julia,
No offense but I think i'm gonna keep it to myself at the moment. I may be wrong about the sender and don't want to accuse anyone of anything unless im sure :-)

Nasty pm's are wrong regardless of who sends them and the sender should be banned. IMO. We should also be allowed to put them on the boards for all to read, then maybe people would think twice about sending them. xx

Well Carol, I was one of the three people that Mel singled out to send a PM to yesterday. It was sent on her husband's account ' ? Man ', and yes it was there sat on my computer all afternoon, until CarolB told on here a method of getting rid on PM's without opening them. I followed the instructions and got rid of it without opening it.
At the same time I posted a message to her on the board telling her not to send me any more PM's. To which her reply was to ridicule and pour derision on me by talking to me as if I was an educationally challenged 5 year old. She said I "should look at the contents (that what's inside)", to quote her.
And, this is not the first time she has sent me PM's. During a spat on here at Easter, the most religious time of the Christian calender, she PM'd me, twice, using one of her many non de plumes, demanding I divulge someones name, which I did not.
Sweet innnocent Mel, I B****y well think not
