The fish do fall out of the sea but some of them haven't reached the horizon yet and that is why there are still fish in the sea.......for now.

Fogot to add, there's also the flying fish that fall off but just fly back into the sea later.

If you are feeling low, try standing in a bucket & lift yourself up by the handle.

I think GR General and GR chat boards should be deleted as people would get more of their family tree done.

Yes Keith, get yourself here for a Liverpool kiss! I hate it when people delete...I hate to miss out lol

Rambling Report 29 Jun 2009 22:04

SRS, yes but then if we get more of our tree done we are depriving future generations of the chance to do it, not to mention leaving ourselves more time to be tempted by the chocolatey delights of snickers bars ..............

Tina, but just think if you ever want to write a poem about sweeties....there are more rhymes with the name 'Snickers' than there would be with 'Marathon' :)

I've been looking at my family tree for most of the evening and I get a bit confused! This is a bit of light relief.

I will give your explanations to my nephew and he can pass them on to his teacher and he can say it is true because it came from "tinternet".

I love Marathons, Opal Fruits & Jiff . "A rose by any other name"

Over to you Rose.

I'd like to vote for an honest politician at the next general election. Is there such a person in the UK at the moment?

Patricia, I feel the same at the moment re tree .... it is branching so far sideways but no further 'upwards'

I just eat chocolate bars, why would I want to write a poem about them?

Also on another issue, who says there will be future generations?

or that I will pass my tree onto them?

What if they are not interested in genealogy & therefore why would I deprive myself of the fun of researching my family tree by leaving it to the off-chance that someone may or may not be interested in researching it in future years.

Really Rose, your arguments are just snickers......

An Ode to Snickers

I keep a Snickers in my knickers
for when I'm on GR
It tastes just like a Marathon
but it doesn't go as far..........

Mary had a little lamb.
He was full of fun & frolicks.
He tried to jump a nine-bar gate.
He fell down & broke his leg.

(I agree - Red Squirrel).

Poetry that doesn't rhyme

is just prose by a different name......

like Snickers and Marathon ;)

Lol, I just posted a thread but you seem to have got there first lol

Great poem by the way......however the Marathon tastes better and lasts longer.

If you have Snickers in your knickers
When you go for a walk
If the snickers melts on the way
People are sure to talk.
