I had a box of choc's off Dick Emery once, for giving him a hair grip, when he was on stage in The Pavilion Theater Weymouth.
I went with my Dad as my mum couldn't make that night. they had like a season ticket went to every new show. So posh frock and high heel's (all of two and half ins high),Dad gave me the work's pre show drinks,Babysham, box of Black Magic, and front row, had to hold his arm while he escoertd me to our seats,Proper Gent my dad.Hehe Next Day some misguided "Lady" informed Mother that Dad was at theater with a young woman half his age and thought my mum should know! What was said next is unprintable!!!

I bet she thought she was doing your Mum a favour Flump.......Babycham AND choccies.......yes, he sure is a gentleman......what a lovely Dad....

I remember my Dad coming home from work, I was 15 and they had bought me a grey pinstripe suit, straight skirt - bolero jacket and short broderie anglaise blouse......and my black patent low heeled shoes.......my Dad always liked me to hold his arm.......one of his mates at work must have spotted us in the town and said he didn't realise that Dad had such a young wife.......lol......

I still laugh at Dick Emery clips, where he dresses up and says......you are awful......etc....,

Yes, he really did have a naughty but nice humor,He Actually made alot of his TV series in Weymouth. You would hear the buzz that Dick Emery was walking about dressed as a woman,he really did wobble on high heels.must have caused a few near misses with drivers.Good memories. It seemed easier to have innocent fun back then.must be feeling my age! You ALL keep on being CHEERFUL.x
