Just picked this thread up again. Hi Deanna .wonder where that name from lol One of my mums idols was Deanna Durbin she thought she was lovely.
As to the curls then yes I had the ringlets too Mum used to comb strands of hair around her finger and then let the ringlet hang lucky i had natural hair that took kindly to being curled like that when it was wet,Wasnt a blonde tho .altho Mum was!, I was a brunette, have some lovely tiny pictures of me around 3 years of age with the ringlets,lol

Those were REAL songs Fredrick, and I love them still.
We were talking this morning (my husband and I) about music, and how even after all these years, the songs of yesteryear are still being sung.
They seemed to have a message to them, didn't they?
Ann, I too remember the ringlets..... oh how I hated them.
I had a soft curl, but my mum used to put mine in rags.
I had very thick hair , but my poor sister had very fine hair, and her hair would be in rats tails before we hit school.
It wasn't her fault, poor wee soul, but she suffered for it!
If she had been my little girl I would have dressed her in dungarees and shirts, NOT frilly dresses. She was a Tomboy bless her
