Well... I am about to do my online booze and soft drink order for Saturday..... I have just booked and paid for a coach for most of my family from Cardiff, lol...... that'll solve part of the parking thingy........

Food has been delegated or sorted....... now I just need to sit back and enjoy, lol

Well 40 years is pretty good too, by the time you are my age you will be 53 years as well!!!

Went into town and bought a few bits, sorted out the bank card fiasco and had lunch in weatherspoons, just a light lunch (I had a tuna jacket and salad, plus a glassof Pinot Grigio white) because we have steak to cook on the barbecue tonight.

I met my hubby on 2nd September 1969, started going out a year later (also 2nd September) when I was 16 he was almost 18, engaged Nov 28th, married 15 months later... been married 37 years and I'm only 21, lol!!

So we are coming up to 40 years since we first met.... wow!!

Thank you all for your good wishes. I don't feel that we have had to try particularly hard, but maybe that is the secret. On the other hand life hasn't been without a blip or two but it would be strange if it was all sunshine with no showers, and there have been plenty of rainbows!!!

I hope i haven't confused some of you, I noticed a "happy wedding anniversary" among the good wishes. That date is in August and this year will be 49 years.
