Silly Sausage

Silly Sausage Report 10 Jun 2009 12:59

They said that about the last series and we were twisted out of it

Maz (the Royal One) in the East End 9256 Report 10 Jun 2009 09:24

from yesterday's currant-bun TV page, talking about series 3 ...

"It will be full of twists and turns to keep viewers guessing before a stunning finale"

and

"series three will solve unanswered questions - and may see [Sam] Tyler's return. ... "Will Alex make it back home? What will become of Gene and will we ever discover what happened to Sam? Viewers won't be left disappointed". Series three will be screened next year."

It's all a dream and Alex has woke up in an asylum...

Mauatthecoast Report 9 Jun 2009 00:12

I just thought the trolley going past the doorway was carrying the dead body of Summers (who Gene had shot earlier)

There are more questions than answers!......will have to sleep on it....or perhaps not lol.....good night All
Mau xx

Karen in the desert Report 9 Jun 2009 00:04

I presumed the person on the trolley was Martin Summers, as he had earlier (in episode 8) told Bols that he was in the room next to her in hospital.

Or it could be Sam Tyler, in a strange twist, because....
".....Drake learns from DS Ray Carling that Tyler returned to Manchester in 1973 and spent seven years serving faithfully alongside Gene Hunt. In pursuit of robbery suspects, he crashed his car into a river. He is presumed dead, although his body was never recovered."

BUT who was it on that trolley who just died that they wheeled out past her room asfter she woke up? was it Gene? they mad a point of that.
You're right Maz or was it Mau too much watching Lost for clues.

Karen in the desert Report 8 Jun 2009 23:46

Maz,
It was Joan of Arc not Enola Gay.
I was a fan of OMD, saw them in Tottenham Court Road, must have been about 1980/81. Still listen to them in the car sometimes, got their greatest hits cd.

I was thinking Janet, of Gene driving his Quatro narrowly missing the "Wonderwall" and then telling his fellow coppers"You can't touch this" (car) o)

Janet 693215 Report 8 Jun 2009 23:23

Surely everyone knows Gene Hunt is a timelord! What with Sam appearing in Dr Who (I watched that episode and it spoilt it for me!)

Unless, of course, Sam is really John Lilburne (Devil's Whore). There you go, next series all the hits of New Model Army and the Levellers. LOL!

Muffyxx

Muffyxx Report 8 Jun 2009 23:07

Right I'm going to go and watch it again........paying special attention this time to the Irish one.

I have to be up at 5.30 tomorrow but I won't sleep if I don't watch now lol

Nite all xx

That's right Maz. I clocked it too, when Alex put her hand to her lips the minute the gene genie kissed (sorry Muffs) the Irish bird...I knew there was some reason I felt it was a vital clue.

Apparently the 3rd series concentrates on discovering exactly WHO Gene Hunt is. I wonder if this means it goes back in time, say, mid/early 70's?

Muffyxx

Muffyxx Report 8 Jun 2009 22:53

hmmmmmm I'm not a big 90s fan Mau........80s were my era.A whole series of Depeche Mode would suit me though :0)

I would HOPE it either goes back to 1982 or comes into the future to 2009. Think Gene would be a spent force by the 90s.....sadly xx

Mauatthecoast

Mauatthecoast Report 8 Jun 2009 22:51

I was disappointed Muffy, thought it would have been more exciting! for me it lacked something,& music wasn't up to standard.
If next series is set in the 1990s ..what background music would you like?

Muffyxx

Muffyxx Report 8 Jun 2009 22:50

Alex needs to take some time in the present to read up on Gene Hunt and find out where he ended up in the future.

THAT will be her key to the past xx

Maz (the Royal One) in the East End 9256 Report 8 Jun 2009 22:49

when Gene kissed the Irish one, Alex woke up and put her hand to her lips ...

watching 5 series of Lost helps you pick up on stuff, but can also make you read wayyy too much into things!

wasn't it Enola Gay at the end ? OMD never my thing - ex loved them *rolls eyes* was waiting for Vienna - even downloaded it last night!

Muffyxx

Muffyxx Report 8 Jun 2009 22:46

I'd be disappointed with a Bobby Ewing type *dream* Mau.

I hope there's more to it than that......though I can't for the life of me think what lol x

Mauatthecoast

Mauatthecoast Report 8 Jun 2009 22:44

So we're back on the roundabout then? is it a dream?

Muffyxx

Who? The Irish one?

I think I need to watch again.......didn't clock that one xx
