	no offence intended: Don't know if this is just a sick coincidence but.... 2007 - Chinese year of the Chicken - Bird Flu Pandemic devastates parts of Asia 2008 - Chinese year of the Horse - Equine Influenza decimates Australian racing 2009 - Chinese year of the Pig - Swine Flu Pandemic kills hundreds of pigs around the globe. Has any one else noticed this? It gets worse........ next year...... 2010 - Chinese year of the Cock - what could possibly go wrong?

It actually killed hundreds of human beings round the globe and it has been awful for those going through this.:o((( I find the punchline of the joke funny, but find the swine flu references to pigs dying when its affected so many humans a bit sick at the moment

	I did say no offence intended Mildred, but as with all tragic happenings in the world, there will always be the odd joke. I think this is quite tame compared with some I've read.

Member Since: May 2003 Posts: 9,750 Send Message	I know you said that barbara, and I did say I thought the punchline of the joke funny (In other words I did "get it" ) I know you meant no harm :o)) Its just my take on things, but I just read that line as if the pigs were being comparable as humans, "2009 - Chinese year of the Pig - Swine Flu Pandemic kills hundreds of pigs around the globe" (there wasnt many reports of pigs snuffing it because of the outbreak, it was all about the human loss & suffering) hence that line sounding like it was about humans, not pigs.

	I suppose Mildred all I can say in mitigation is that the joke wouldn't have worked without the mention of swine flu...lol Just put it up for a bit of a giggle and it seems to have made you smile... :))
