I have to admit that I'm one of those who told him he doesn't have to read the posts which are not related to genealogy, but there are some people for whom the boards are an outlet and he should consider them.
Others told him how they felt about it too in similar fashion.

It was HIS thread and it wasn't up long before it was deleted. Hh..mmmmm

I must be honest I didn't see the thread but having just taken a look over on General, Most of the threads aren't Genealogy based so it's left me wondering why pick on Ann of GG's thread??? xxx

We are just guessing that it might have been him, Posh. It might not have been, but in view of the many non-genealogy threads on Gen, why pick on the Sherwood thread to complain about?

Unless, of course, someone added to it while nobody was looking except the one who complained?

Shooting someone for reporting a thread is a bit harsh dont you think lol

I think its all gone a bit daft on here of late for reporting, if people dont like a thread just dont post on it and post on the ones you do enjoy, shame people feel that their opinion and likes and dislikes are more important that anyone elses.

I agree with you Jax but I also think that people are making a big drama over deleted or whooshed threads. It's annoying but not the end of the world and I also think it's a little unfair that someone is being blamed when there is no proof. I did see Howard's thread and I thought it unpleasant - and said so. Doesn't mean he reported it nor does it mean that every thread that disappears has been reported. Just my thoughts.

We have have had a lot of hissy fits in the last week or so, and many leaving many ..revelations accounts and posts disappearing in the middle of the night like they were never here....so I totally agree with that some do it out of spite...(very adult )

Ann I for one would just put another.....on gen or here or have one on each one ....they are harmless..

Sue I agree although I understand its a bit of a let down when a thread people have been having a laugh or a debate on gets deleted its not the end of the world, just start another one.

Dont think its right pointing the finger with no proof either as loads of threads have been deleted lately could just be one of grs famous glitches lol

Well, *I* think a post on General complaining about posts on General should be reported, because it very obviously isn't about genealogy and belongs on Chat.

Oh, and I see there's a post on general about (avert your eyes) TAPIOCA.

That one should be reported as violating community standards of decency.
