Hayley.......there is one of those very ugly contraptions of which you are speaking in my living room at the moment..........I don't like it either but they wouldn't listen to me : (

I think the general idea is that baby is more on " parade " because it's higher up if it's in the car seat bit. The silliest thing as far as I'm concerned is that you have to get the baby out ( thus disturbing it ) as soon as you reach your destination because ( as has been said ) it isn't good for their spines to be in it for very long...........I think they are stupid .

*frets...I just want to know what a halfwit holiday is as I don't want to miss out on nowt....

I don't look at babies these days, but I am sure everything has been scientifically tested etc......all I know is that my baby faced me in the pram so I could admire and chat to him:-)

Mine used to have a carry cot/pram attachment which would also fit on the pram base.

If I was going to be out shopping for any length of time then I DID used to transfer her to that......but for short journeys the car seat on wheels was dead useful !!!!

I used to walk all the time after I had the eldest...using the pram attachment as opposed to the carseat one.....hours and hours of wandering aimlessly around because the motion of the pram used to send her off to sleep when lying in a cot just didn't lol.

Trouble was by the time youngest came along.......eldest was always too worn out from play school/nursery to come walking with me.....so we missed out on that a bit xx

**have to say youngest hasn't suffered through being deprived of her pram walks lol xx

Amanda...when I am a granny...when I an old enough I am going to have my own pram...with display covers and fancy lacy things...:-)))) lol

Lol Hayley.........I saw the perfect pram in a charity shop two days ago.....my fingers itched and twitched to buy it.........I had visions of lace trimmings and embroidery anglaise ( ? I think I have the right word ? ).....but I don't have any room left in the house now : (
