Those hospices are wonderful places run by equally wonderful people Jessie, you can rest assured they will do the very very best for your dad, and for you too.

I'm fine Uggers, not long since got back from the hospice,
Dad is comfy and has more colour in his face, still sleeping most of the time and not eating but managing sips of water.

Hi everyone

Just back from the hospice - and what did we find..................

My Dad sat up ( in bed ) eating Sunday dinner followed by Ice cream, and a cup of tea !!!!!!!

The Nurses were amazed and say he must be one hell of a strong bloke as they gave him 2 to 5 days last Thursday.

This may be the lull before the storm - but whatever it is it was nice and lovely to see him awake, smiling and eating however short lived it may be.

So glad that today was a good one for you and your Dad. It is a memory that you will be able to look back on and smile at the thought of him sitting up in bed eating his ice-cream.

Thanks Guys

I no I shouldn't build my hopes up but maybe just maybe he can fight a bit longer and come home for a bit.

There is nothing I would like more than one more summer sat in the garden with him - or should I say him sat there telling me how to cut his grass lol

My thoughts and love are with you and your Dad Jessie,

I know how it feels ,like your dad my brother fought for 3 long years against the Big C .
So brave , still had his sence of humour.
May your dad pass peacefully
