The Boars Head where I used to live was always called The Whore's Bed. Apparently it was a brothel at one time.

I would rename my local the Millionaires Elite

As a pint of Foster,s has just jumped up to £3 a pint

(And this is in Essex not London) I think the name

would speak for it,s self,,,,,lol, Bottoms up !

The Cock and Pineapple.

(There's a weather vane on the Town Hall clock tower in my home town and it looks like a cockrel perched on top of a pineapple - I always thought it was an excellent name for a pub)

Failing that "The Weary Banker" if it was in the City.

The Masons' Heartbreak.

Me father in law kept saying he was going to the Masons, and it was heartbreak when MiL kept finding him in the pub.

There used to be a pub outside Andover called the 'Why Not'.

If I had a pub, I'd hand it over to my eldest (an excellent 'front of house' person) and her partner (a very good chef).
It would probably be called 'The Silent Partner', 'How did I get into this Mess' or 'The dreaded MIL' LOL
