Who takes a shopping list with them or do you do it all from memory. Do you have lists of chores or jobs to do? Lists of people to hex (kidding), or lists of other things?

I used to do everything by lists moreso with organising money ...I used to have a housekeeping book with what bills were due...I kept one since I was 11 or that was my Mums..but I thought everyone did it...till one day I thought what the hell...

Hi Teresa
Must admit to having a shopping list with me when I go to the supermarket. Doesn't always work though as I usually forget sometthing - and end up buying stuff NOT on the list.... LOL!

My OH gets really listless if he doesn't write a list of things he needs to do........lol

I make mental lists........and then spend a lot of time looking puzzled because I think I've forgotton something : )

Now I do have lists at Christmas...or I'll forget something.

Hang about, I forget anyway LOL

Last year I forgot to post the pleddy cards *cringes*

But not for general shopping. I'm pretty good at not buying what I didn't go out for, and dont' often forget things.

Now my OH forgets something every time. He might go to the shops a dozen times before he finally remembers it. Then he remembers it next time he's at the shops but can't remember if he's got it already so gets another one.

He did that with mustard once, we ended up with 6 large jars of mustard in the flipping cupboard.

My ex used to do that, but I always said, Kids don't see how much you spend, they see how many presents they got.

Mind you, my ex had a sort of OCD about it...one year, he spent £1 more on my son than on my daughter, so be bought her something else to even it up, but he'd spent more than £1 so he bought my son another present..which took his amout over, so another for my daughter. I had to take the chequebook and card off him in the end, it was getting silly and we hadn't got the food yet...

*wonders why I'm not married to him any more PMSL*

My Sis and I are list mad, take after Mum I think.....

Got my list ready for the supermarket tomorrow, but always manage to buy more......

Sad little sid that I am, I even have notes on what not to buy in the way of food etc. after Christmas......I write down what has gone down well, and what not to do again.......

......all my lists seem to do with buying food, or what to pack on holiday, or what to buy for who at Christmas.......and with 7 grandchildren at different ages and birthdays and anniversaries, it is a wonder I have any paper left.....

I don’t think you are sad Sally. I think making list shows jolly good origination skill personally. It helps you prioritise your day today tasks or planning for next Christmas menu enabling you utilise your energy in other areas. So making a simple list you have condensed your concerns and are able to progress further. In my opinion .
