Well, Mac, it's the early hours of the morning and I have only just come back to this thread and read your recent postings. I'm still laughing over your story about the chicken innards. However, I was always told that the rhyme you quoted had been carved on a gravestone and went:

'Wherever you are,
Wherever you be,
Always let your wind go free,
For keeping it in was the death of me.'

Is this a lesson for those of us who try to let rip a 'silent one' with it's 'baffies on', as the Scots would say?,

When I lived in Blackpool they always used to say.
