I get crippling cramp in my toes...........what causes it?

I'll have to start wriggling my toes and fidgeting then lol.

It's a *smith* thing to jiggle legs and feet about but my mother hated it so I trained myself out of it.

Maybe I should start again..........lol x

Oh Muffy ,
i get that it BLO**Y hurts dont know what causes it ..
i can be sound asleep and wham i wake up in pain
went to the docs and he gave me some quinien (sic)
it seems to be doing the trick . i also have 2 broken toes
cos my bones break easly ..

I can go months and not get it........then weeks where it doesn't seem to stop !!!!! xx

Muffy I suffer with that, my big toes want to stand up ... my calves can suffer terribly too, usually during the night. Tis cramp caused by my Thyroid problem.

Is it underactive or overactive Shims.

My mum and my nan both had overactive thyroids......so i'd say i was in line for much of the same.........

I get RLS....and then my toes want to stand up...and it kills the souls of my feet...

Interesting - sometimes I get cramp in foot and my toes all part!
Did not realise it had anything to do with Thyroid - under or over active?
Mine is underactive and am on Thyroxine. J*

I get that Muffy now and then, like a shooting pain......think it is a bit of cramp....

are you still trying to squeeze them size 8 plates of yours into size 4's?...Yes? well, there's ya problem...

Thats it Muffy i had it the other night and the only thing that really stops
it is if i go and sit on the edge of the bath and run the shower
over my leg/s and feet with hot water i could cry with it sometimes lol.

I have to make myself bend my toes backwards and forwards to try and take the pain away.

All my toes separate and go rigid........sounds really tame if you've never had it but my god does it hurt !!!!!!!!

We have the same thing J, I'm on that too; have Reynard Syndrome too ... my fingers go white indoors sometimes. xxx

I do too Muffy. I take a Gaviscon tablet, not sure why it helps but it does. xxx

It's eased off a bit now........but I have a feeling I'll be screeching with pain during the night at some point.........
