Hi All. Since GR updated the system, many people have experienced problems using the site. Recently a number of people have experienced problems with ie New Topic, Reply & Submit Icons. So being unable to post or create threads & GR seem to be slow to provide solutions.
This thread is to give GR a list of the problems people are experiencing & to give them info to help them to help us.
I will leave this up on here & General for 7 days. Then I'll forward the data collected to GR
If after posted here, you experience new or continued problems. Please add them to the list as a new post.
If you are unable to post because of a problem reply & submit. Please PM me & I'll add it for you on your behalf.

Problems encountered;
System slow. Submit Icon struggles to post a posting. Screen freezes me out 2 to 4 times a day.

I was logged out when I had been reading a thread and clicked in the tab to be returned to the general page.

I informed GR and was told it was because of the "high volume of traffic they were experiencing"

Mmmmm................heard that one before somewhere:, the boards aren't exactly buzzing are they!))

I've amended the title for a little more emphasis. Also because the apathy has been deafening.
Or have I imagined over the past few weeks, all of the complaints of how the GR site functions on our computers?

I'm not asking for a tirade of complaints. Just for a concise list of facts to put to GR.

No 'envelope' to indicate when post arrives (yes i DO get p.ms)
Often unable to access Reply,
Submit very slow & will throw me off
In general site slow switching pages
Mail infuriatingly hard to open
Browser 'Google'

People with similar problems have said that they find it easier to access PMs directly from thier normal e-mail in box. And from that point to enter GR

reply wouldnt open for 7 days.. then opened 4 days..
off again till sunday afternoon...

slow to change page..
white error page...
back to home page...
pages jumbled
wouldnt accept password

there reply macs are not compatiable try mozilla firefox.. that didnt work either.. the worst is automated replies back...

they ask for patience lol

Not trying to be controversial but as a Safari user on Mac, I'm finding the new improved site a lot better than the old system. I can now view the whole tree if I request it. It just seems to work for me now......I just don't want them returning to the old system that never worked properly for me.

I use Firefox which remembers my password, brings me straight here.

1. I seem to have a permanent white envelope for messages

2. Real name: Shimms has just a likkle bit of mistletoe ... cannot return to the name I was born with.

3. GR sends me to Sent Messages, Home all over the place.

4. When submitting, I more often than not end up on a white page with the word stopped. Have to use the back arrow to return, then am where I wanted to be originally.

5. Tis very slow here some days.

I use Adblock so don't have any ads, have also enlarged the font so tis comfy now compared to the awful feeling I had when they first changed. I don't think I'd like to change back, just need them to rectify these problems.

Touch wood, since using Firefox the screen no longer freezes. Touching my head, who knows what the next moment holds here lol!

Hi Red, I am glad your not any experIencing problems on GR.
I don't intend asking GR to revert to the old system. Just to improve the current system, so all users can use it. There maybe common factors that GR need to address.

Often get the white page saying stopped.Also often see that I have posted twice so have to delete one.

white page today 25minutes to get back today..

I also find those drop downs in the tree very annoying. Have to carefully thread curser through the tree to try to avoid activating them.I've also now installed Firefox to see if that makes it easier.

Hi all my big problem is them drop down boxes in your tree, they take up so much room, i must they are usefull but they should be a option not on all the time.

cant open reply again....

gone on to mozilla firefox..its opened...

problem is the pages keep schrolling up and down on there own..plus my eyes have started to hurt again .............

wonder what there excuse will be ... as i dont have my mac now......

Have problems with last reply button

Page moves up and down without any help from me while reading threads

Frequently get thrown off after typing lengthy reply and when it lets me back on, its all gone and have to start again

Have also lost submit button, but it's been okay for the last couple of weeks.

My new shoes give me blisters......................

Not a problem with the system but an annoying place to to put the reply box.

If I'm replying to a post its usually the last one,
I like to be able to read what I'm replying to,not have to flit back and forth.

Please ask GR put the reply box at the bottom of the page
