We're about an hour south of Sydney. It was good to hear from Mick and thank God he and his family are safe. It's a very scary and tragic time for all Aussies and worrying for rellies overseas. We've had a few phone calls from family in the UK who were worried because they weren't sure how close we were to the bushfires. I think a lot of people in the UK don't realise how big Australia is.

We have reallies in Sydney ....and I was worried sick about Mick I must admit didnt sleep very last night worrying about him, then this morning I was up at 5.30 trying to see if there was any news of him and I was reading what our your fellow Ozzys were saying about the water tanks being ruined ...it was arwful thankfully he is fine just lost a shed and is always full of the joys of spring...it was such a relief..

Thanks for asking, Hayley. We're nowhere near the fires but have family near the disaster area and friends up near the flood in north Queensland. Thankfully all ok.

I didn't think this was necessarily a serious thread, Carol, but Hayley did make a comment and I gave an opinion, that's all. I'm not having a go at anyone - I don't find the threads offensive. However, if someone is going to be jumped on for stating an opinion and told not to read it if they don't like it or snide remarks are made then it's little wonder people are wary of joining in on chat.

Sometimes if you try to join in you get ignored which can be off putting especially if someone is a newbie.

Suemaid,

I think you have to mingle in with peeps, everyone is here to enjoy themselves

I don't always join in, but I have a jolly good laugh at what they say especially Hayley...she is so funny

Just sit back and look in....!

SueMaid Report 9 Feb 2009 22:26

No thread in particular, Carol - I am only talking in general. Thanks, Mel - at no time did I say the threads were offensive.
