Hi Joan, I think this is a GR glitch & not your computer. Other people have also have had a similar problem with the Reply & Submit buttons.

Have you tried signing out & back in? This may resolve the glitch.

If this doesn't correct the problem. Then contact GR & hopefully they'll resolve it from their end.

Joanie has tried contacting GR for a week, all she has received are 4 automated replies.

Do you know how she could open another account please?

Can't help Joan as I'm not using mac ..... have you tried using the new zealand or australian GR sites ? see if this corrects the prob .... good luck :)

Hi Shimms, I got your PM hun.

I think to open a new account ( I could be wrong about this) Joan would need to re registar as a new member & pay a new subscriptions fee. Also as a new member she'd have to transfer her tree over, start a fresh with contact, won't be able to use jgee as community name as this is owned by her other memberships.
Ultimately this may not even even cure the problem.

When you open a thread, the last part to dowm load & become live for use is the Reply button. This is the same when you're able to reply, the Submit, Bookmark & Rely buttons are the last to up load & become live for use.
It seems that when Joan opens a thread, the final uploading of this hasn't happened. As this has happened to quite a few people this week, my suspicion points to GR & not her computer.

Has Joan tried signing out & back in Shimms? This may correct the problem.

Hi Joan, i had terrible problems the other day signing into GR, said my email address wasnt recognised, then my password, then it said register now, i had to C&P the receipt they sent me saying i had paid, it was a nightmare. In the end i had to change my password, it took about an hour in total, I had no submit button, it kept saying i was a free member.

Keep trying, GR need to sort it xxx

The problem is, they are not replying in person, just silly automated responses. How can anything be sorted, tis rude too ... tis now a week and no-one has had the manners or courtesy to contact her.

Hi Shimms, another thought;

I assume Joans' Mac is a lappy. Her battery power settings can affect computer performance.

High performance......battery life is reduce but higher oparational speed

Power saver..........increases battery life but may reduce system performance.

This is a bit of a long shot though,.

Oh dear Shimms, still struggling with your name hun?

I tried changing mine yesterday, but couldn't. After sometime I found that the GR wont accept the letter characters that I can access on my comp. But wil accept those I found on internet !?.

I'll try & change it again later to day. As snow nearly gone now, so name no longer appropiate.

The same thing has happened to me only when I use my lappy,could not use the submit button but now it seems to be okay, had to put my password in again, and it's been alright since.
