Puss,Daff,Stray, and maybe Sharron,

Stay well clear of Melbourne, guys. We're in the middle of a ghastly heat wave-yesterday was 43.4 degrees Celsius, today will be the same.
(For those who don't know, 38 degrees C = 100 degrees Fahrenheit=
too BL***Y HOT!!!) Train lines are buckling, the Australian Open tennis players are complaining-(especially the Russians),the air-conditioners are going full-belt,there's wide-spread electricity black-outs as the system struggles to keep up with the demand, and the bushfires are starting up again. As well as all that, we have dwindling reserves of water, the
situation is not very good at all.We expect this weather for 4-5 days in a row-some kind of record apparently.Do you guys want some nice Aussie heat? Even the thought of your damp, freezing UK weather sounds pretty good to me at the moment, lol.

Maybe you'd like to go to Tassie (Tasmania), apparently it's been raining
there, and it never gets this hot!

Cheers, Margot xx
