No, thats the first thing I'll get her to do. Apparently the taxi driver was really kind to her, so if she hasn't already got a receipt, I'm sure she'll ask for one.

That is scandalous, TW.... I am glad your mum didn't have any serious damage to her leg, but to be expected to pay out that much to get to hospital is scandalous to say the least!! Send her my love... well, at least best wishes... she might think it a bit odd that someone she hasn't met was sending love, lol... I know my mum (75 and a bit doolallytap bless her) did at first, lol

BC.... so pleased I have company with the stir-crazy syndrome, lololol.... R won't let me out to play, but it does look like sister next to me is out of quarantine and will visit me tomorrow... she is not going to do any shopping, or anything, just in case.... wmsl, she doesn't need to go to that extreme, but they ain't taking chances!!

Stray, my lovely, do not fret, Hayley has already had a flounce this year.... not all that impressive really *sniff* but she is rather out of practice, lolol ;¬)))

*digs out flak jacket, hard hat and stuff like that*

Well, a girl who is stir crazy has to get her fun from somewhere, lololol

Love

Thanks for that. I am certain she is on benefits as her pension is so small, there is no way she could live on that alone. I'll check and see whats what.

Well its made me see the need for a plan so she knows who to call another time. First call must be the doctors NOT NHS Direct. I'll make sure she knows that first.

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 1 Jan 2009 20:24

I am reluctant to ring NHS direct because they nearly always advise you to go to hospital - I think it is to cover themselves. It's easier to ring the doctors and, if necessary, the on-call service. Glad your mum's ok.

Keep a brown paper bag handy for the hyperventilation, and for the detox...well a corned beef sandwich should put a stop to that.
