Me too I am afraid. Cannot stand all the who-ha that the new year comes with it. OH has had us going out getting nibbles from M&S for a little platter to welcome in the new year! I would rather be in bed fast asleep. But as I am being forced to be awake will do my duty and be a pain in the arse and get some saucepans and clang them together to annoy the neighbours pmsl! |

This Mrs Grumpy has just looked in on my way to Bed. Bl... y back has seized up on me again for the second time in 3 weeks. took 10 days the first time to get it back supple again and only took a walk around the supermarket yesterday for it to spasm again and seize up from the waist down to the me bum. Is agony to try and stand as is so stiff and gets locked up sitting. |

Not silly, MM. A sentiment shared by many I should think. I feel a bit of nervousness going into a new year. That feeling of wondering what the new year will bring. It's silly because it really is just going from one day to the next but it always feels like a new beginning. |

I too hate New Years Eve. For some reason that I cannot explain it makes me really depressed and likely to burst into tears at any moment. I don't know whether it is regret at all the things I could have done in my younger days but now can't or whether it is the realisation that my life is passing by remarkabaly quickly and yet I am not 'enjoying' it in the way I know I should. I do shake myself and count my blessings but I can never shake off the feeling of sadness and depression. Silly thing is, I'm fine on 1st January. Silly I know. |

how do you tact fully convey your consideration that your neighbours have a right to listen to THEIR music as loud as they wish, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE could they keep it all THEIR side of the wall? |

I can't stand it either - sitting here on my own, feeling pretty glum I must say - if it wasn't so cold I'd go out for a walk - I usually walk down to the local church and pop in through the gate to stand by my lovely OH's stone and tell him how much I miss him and how rotten life is without him. Then weep all the way back home - a misery guts I know, but I can't wait for the New Year to come and for Spring to start breaking through again |
