I need to stick the marzipan on my Christmas cake....................it keeps falling off!! *sulks*

I've got some *no more nails*it's in a tube and you can also use it to do your fancy icing

Edit - second thoughts leave the marzipan off it's Yuk .

Kitty try superglue.....Amanda no one will eat it last years is still being used as a door stop...


now she will pour the jam in a pan.....yes I know forget its there and set the fire alarm off...

I iced a cake once - years ago this was. Made up my own icing. Had no marzipan so I didn't bother with that. Iced the cake. Left it to set. Came back and it had all slid off into a thick wobbly line round the bottom of the cake!

So - don't ask me.

I use ready mixed marzipan and roll it out and ready rolled icing nowadays. I buy a square-ish cake, cut a slope into it, we ice it and then hurl sleighing Santas and polar bears and penguins all over it. Looks lovely!

It doesn't matter what the flavour is,just make sure the cake is dripping with alcohol and no one will care

Right......................that's the jam on, oh is trying to crazypave the marzipan on it.

I hope it tastes alright...............its a bit on the heavy side, but I have been wartering it with brandy every other day:))

Now do I try to make Royal icing...............or do they sell ready made stuff??

Only recipe books lie all the time you know..............they say do this and do that, then just turn the cake onto a cooling tray. What about when the middle bit falls out and the rest is welded to the cake tin??

Where are the instructions for that????
