A few weeks ago my 11 year old daughter was walking home when a large group of boys thought it funny to trip her up. The result was large grazing on both her knees, One of which became infected as it was so bad. Her school trousers were ruined and her mobile phone got broke as she had it in her hand when she fell. |

I would think they are arresting him because he was there, As far as they are concerned he was at the scene of a crime. |

all the lads are friends but the 2 involved had, had some words in school and thats what led to a push not beaten up or kicked a push and like my grandson said it was nothing to do with him so why get involved it was a one to one thing on the other |

Nannie, this doesn't sound right at all to me. Also, I believe they can only retain prints and dna if he is charged with certain types of offence. If I was you I would seek legal advice immediately. There are some that specialise in young people's advocacy. |

I don't think it is such a bad thing for the police to demonstrate their might to lads of this age. Then, when temptation to do something wrong does come their way later, like when they have been on the sherbet in future, they might just remember how they felt. |

at the moment all they will say to my daughter is that he was there when the push was given and until they can prove he wasn't involved and he walked away he has to be arrested and then bailed. he didn't stand and watch the boy who did the pushing |

Nanny, please excuse me but its all a load of Boxxxcks. they should leave kids to sort out their problems. In my day you had a fall out then were friends again without any interferance from anyone. these days people are full of red tape and being politically correct. kids should be aloud to learn for themselves. nite, x |
