OH is a lover of stained glass windows, and he and I say well done.

Can understand you not being able to see it fixed.

It's engraved not stained glass. Not a lot of people understand what engraving is. The form I do is done with a drill rather like a dentist uses and with diamond or stone burs to do the engraving. Most of it is what is called intaglio so the deeper I go the more 3D it looks when seen from the correct side (normally the unengraved one).

It's usually white on clear glass giving a white on black image but sometimes I use layered coloured glass and remove one layer to show the one underneath.

Those of you who've looked also know what I look like now. LOL
I haven't got two heads honest.

Oooh I forgot to say.........I've found a few ancestors in Cheriton Fitzpaine who were married and baptised in that church where my "Lilies" pane was installed on Monday. I expect they are buried in the churchyard.

Just checked out your web site Sue. you are very talented, the engravings are lovely and the lilies are beautiful. And, what is spooky, I picked up the bible to check out Luke 12 v 27-31 and it opened straight at that page without me thumbing through it. how strange.

I know how complicated engraving is and how steady your hand has to be as I have watched a glass engraver at work. very, very skilled.

We can all boast now that we 'know' this talented lady who has made such beautiful things lol
Bit of name dropping often oils the wheels lol

Seriously Sue, I am glad the window went in well. Enjoy the praise given, it is well deserved.
