Think I could do with some of those drops MJ-Sue, am starting to feel panicky some days, lots of it to do with Christmas which doesn't have happiness for me with it.
Don't know if there is somewhere I could get something made up here, I have used the Bach remedies etc, in the past.

Glad the lamp is helping Diana, have been looking round to see where I could keep/use one here and it would be very difficult.

Excellent news Pink! I love it when someone else thinks they really work too - cos you can get some strange looks sometimes when you tell folk about them. lol

My latest natural remedy is flower essence. I had a really bad summer this year with depression, panic attacks and anger, using the lamp didnt help much and I was getting to the stage of going to my GP for anti-depressants. Then a friend recommended flower essence remedies and luckily we have a shop in town where a lovely lady makes up "potion" to your particular ailment/s. I felt the effect within days! Still get the odd downer or panic attack but then I just take some more drops.

I must admit I am seriously impressed..... I have it on for 60 minutes every morning and for the first time in my adult life I am going to be regularly before 10pm and feeling brighter each day!

I think they are similar to those yes....... but the daylight bulbs aren't as bright and don't give the health benefits the Lamps do I believe!

Would the bulbs be the same as the 'Daylight bulbs' that I bought in a craft shop?

Where would one buy the bulbs to try first?

PinkDiana

PinkDiana Report 15 Oct 2008 11:25

Anita

The light is a completely different one to that of a normal lamp babe.... so you may want to try the SAD bulbs that they do in your lamp as an initial test?

Its very bright and takes some getting used to but I like it so far! And I am slept much better last night than normal.... whether that's the lamps affect or not I don't know yet! ;o)

Hi Jean,

Just had a look at the back of my lamp and it has 2 x 24w lamps/bulbs in it - so cheap as chips to run and it's only on for an hour max a day.

I had a look at some yesterday, but O H wanted to know is it expensive on electric,

Well my brain wouldn't cope with a bedside light one would it lol?

I have thought of getting one for use in the day time tho or later in the day time I should say, as I get even less daylight due to my odd sleep pattern. Not sure where I could put it tho, this house of o.h's doesn't have much surface space to stand anything and I couldn't keep putting it away and getting it out every day, which is what he would probably insist on, he hates things standing about.
Will be interesting to hear how you get on Diana.
Hope it works for you.

Hope it works for you, Pink - keep us informed.

i have also considered getting on of those bedside lights - they are supposed to simulate dusk and dawn. But as I often dont go to be till gone 2 - I think my brain might get too confused. lol

Well it arrived yesterday and i must say I am impressed with the colour of light that it emits altho it is very bright!!

Switched it on the morning when the alarm went off and I genuinely smiled as it felt like a summer's morning..... I'm sure it will take some getting used to and hopefully the effects will be greater than just me smiling at switching it on!

:o)
