........................................................or is David Blaine completely mad?

Illusionist David Blaine has begun his latest stunt, during which he will attempt to hang upside-down for 60 hours.

The 35-year-old magician is currently suspended over Central Park's Wollman ice skating rink.

Blaine is wearing a safety harness and has been attached to a crossbar on a large steel scaffold structure.

Personally I favour the latter lol.

the man obviously has some mental disorder

and as soon as they see this the men in white coats will no doubt be there to return him to the secure unit he escaped from

Well, he is completely barking mad, but that's beside the point...It's also obviously an illusion.

Hi all.... I think he is absolutely barking but agree with you SS that it must be some sort of illusion.

I saw him, by accident I might add, on the South Bank when he was up in the glass box for what seemed like forever....and I was the only one in the crowd who seemed to think he wasn't in the box at all.

I don't know why he does it when he gets the mick taken out of him so badly. If he did it for charity, that would be a different matter.

If it were anyone else they would lock them up for their own safety, wouldn't they?

Jac

I reckon, and it's my opinion only I might add, that he gets strung up (for want of a better description) for a few hours, and under cover of darkness he (being the actual bloke) is replaced by a hologram of himself just hanging there.

He then gets lowered to the ground, taken to the nearest Holiday Inn to recover, and then shortly before dawn on the day at the end of the experiment, the hologram is replaced with the bloke.

Tis all an illusion.............................he would be dead within a few hours of hanging upside down, but could probably do it for a few hours at a time without fatal consequences.

Aint he got anything better to do with his time? )))
